Engineering Graphics Question Paper 2023
Engineering Graphics Question Paper 2023
PART A
Answer any two full questions. Each question carries 10 Marks Marks
1 A line AB, 90mm long, is inclined at 450 to the H.P. and its top view makes an (10)
angle of 600 with the xy line. The end A is in the H.P. and 12mm in front of V.P.
Draw its front view and finds its true inclination with the V.P.
2 The end A of a line AB is in the H.P. and 25 mm behind the V.P. The end B is in (10)
the V.P. and 50 mm above the H.P. The distance between the end projectors is 75
mm. Draw the projections of AB and determine its true length, traces and
inclinations with the H.P. and the V.P.
3 A cylinder of diameter 50mm and height 70mm lies with one of its generators in (10)
H.P.. If the axis is inclined at 400 to V.P. and parallel to H.P., draw the projection
of the cylinder.
PART B
4 A square pyramid of base side 25 mm and axis 40 mm rests centrally over a (10)
cylindrical block of base diameter 50 mm and thickness 20 mm. Draw the
isometric view of the arrangement.
5 A cube of 35 mm long edges is resting on the H.P. on one of its faces with a (10)
vertical face inclined at 30° to the V.P. It is cut by a section plane parallel to the
V.P. and 9 mm away from the axis and further away from the V.P. Draw its
sectional front view.
6 A cone of base diameter 45 mm and height 60 mm is cut by horizontal cutting (10)
plane at 20 mm from the apex. Draw the development of the frustum of cone.
7 A cylinder of base diameter 40 mm and 60 mm long axis is standing on its base. (10)
It is penetrated by another cylinder of same size, with the axis of penetrating
cylinder parallel to both H.P. and V.P. The axis of two cylinders bisects each
other. Draw projections showing curves of intersection.
8 A square prism of side 30 mm and height 50 mm is resting with one of its base (10)

on ground plane. One of its rectangular faces is parallel to picture plane and 15
mm behind it. The station point is 25 mm to the right of the rectangular face on
right side. Station point is 40 mm in front of picture plane and 60 mm above
ground plane. Draw the perspective view.
