Instructions

 This paper is consist of only one section and four items


 Answer all items in this paper.

ITEM ONE

Kamuli secondary school is planning to have a career day to sensitize S.1 students about the importance
of vocational subjects. The 100 students of S.1 will assemble in the main hall, which has a power supply.
The career’s teacher will share pictures and videos showing areas where various subjects are applicable.
Some students may request some pictures and videos to show to their parents.

Task

a) Advise the careers teacher about which computer hardware devices will be needed and how they
work to support her presentation to the students.

ITEM TWO

Floods have become rampant in Uganda. The main challenge at the hand is that most people do not have
information about cause of the floods, predicting their onset and how their effects can be minimized.

As an ICT student, you have been contacted to research for information about floods, compile it in a
document and share it with various groups of people over the internet.

Task

a) Explain how you will go about this from the point of searching for information up to when it is
shared to all people concerned.
b) Explain the precautions you will exercise while searching and sharing information in (a) above.

ITEM THREE

Government of Uganda through the Rural Communication development fund (RCDF) has been setting up
computer centers in various rural areas in Uganda. These centers provide internet services, computer
maintenance and repair services and computer literacy training among others. The users of these services
include community farmers searching for markets, teachers searching for teaching materials and
graduates searching for jobs. Most of these people use the computer for long hours.
You have been selected by the RCDF to sensitize the people about health and safety risks of prolonged
use of computers.

Task

Prepare a sensitization presentation that you will deliver

ITEM FOUR

Anna is a recent university graduate looking for jobs. She found an online job listing that requires
applicants to submit their resume, cover letter and academic transcripts through an online portal.

Anna has her documents in physical format and is un familiar with the process of digitizing and
submitting them online.

Task

If Anna asks for your guidance, provide a write up detailing the steps and ICT tools she should use to
successfully digitize and submit her job application online.
