CXC Study Timetable

Weeks 1-4: Focus on Maths and English Paper 02

Daily Routine: 3 to 5 hours of study.

Maths Paper 02:

Week 1:

- Algebra: Solving equations, quadratic equations, inequalities.

- Trigonometry: Angles, sine, cosine rules, solving triangles.

Week 2:

- Geometry: Properties of shapes, theorems, angles in circles.

- Functions: Graphing, interpreting linear and quadratic functions.

Week 3:

- Vectors & Matrices: Definitions, operations, transformations.

Week 4:

- Calculus Basics: Differentiation and integration (if applicable).

English Paper 02:

Week 1:

- Argumentative Essay Writing: Structure, thesis, supporting ideas, transitions.

Week 2:

- Expository Writing: Developing a strong thesis, organizing ideas logically.


Week 3:

- Summary Writing: Practice summarizing texts (past paper examples).

Week 4:

- Reading Comprehension: Answering questions effectively, finding key ideas in texts.

Weeks 5-7: Focus on Paper 032 and English Oral

Maths Paper 032:

Week 5:

- Statistics: Mean, median, mode, frequency distributions.

- Probability: Theoretical vs. experimental, probability trees, independent events.

Week 6:

- Measurement: Time, area, volume, accuracy, units of measurement.

Week 7:

- Problem-solving questions from past papers. Focus on any challenging areas.

English Paper 032:

Week 5:

- Oral practice: Pick sample topics and practice discussing them clearly.

Week 6:

- Oral project: Work on pronunciation, fluency, and expressing ideas smoothly.


Week 7:

- Continue past oral practice exams and focus on weaker skills.

Weeks 8-10: Focus on Paper 01 (Multiple Choice)

Maths Paper 01:

Week 8:

- Numbers, operations, factors, multiples, powers.

Week 9:

- Coordinate Geometry: Distance, midpoint, gradient, straight-line graphs.

Week 10:

- Review of all sections. Begin practicing timed multiple-choice questions.

English Paper 01:

Week 8:

- Grammar: Parts of speech, sentence structure, subject-verb agreement.

Week 9:

- Vocabulary: Synonyms, antonyms, idioms, reading comprehension questions.

Week 10:

- Practice past papers under timed conditions.

Weeks 11-15: Final Revision & Timed Practice

Week 11:
- Timed Maths and English practice exams. Focus on speed and accuracy.

Week 12:

- Review mistakes from practice papers. Focus on topics you consistently miss.

Week 13:

- Practice more past papers in both subjects. Revise difficult sections.

Week 14:

- Full exam simulation: Take a mock exam for both Maths and English, simulating actual exam conditions.

Week 15:

- Light review and confidence building. Go over easy wins, review notes, and keep calm.
