I. Objectives
A. Content Standards Transmission line installation involves setting up high-
voltage power lines to transport electricity over long
distances. Maintenance ensures these lines operate
safely and efficiently, involving regular inspections,
repairs, and upgrades to prevent outages and ensure
reliable power delivery.
B. Performance Standards Transmission line installation involves carefully placing
and connecting high-voltage power lines, ensuring
they can safely and efficiently carry electricity over
long distances. Maintenance involves regular
inspections, repairs, and upgrades to keep these lines
functioning optimally and prevent outages.
C. Learning Competencies/ 1. Understanding the importance of regular
Objectives/Formation Standard maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of
transmission lines. This includes tasks like inspections,
repairs, and preventative measures.
2. Learning the practical skills and procedures for
installing transmission lines. This involves tasks like
stringing conductors, erecting towers, and connecting
equipment.
3. Understanding the principles behind designing safe
and efficient transmission lines.

I will present a word search puzzle and let the
students search those words that is related to the
topic. Students will explain the meaning of the word
they searched.
Transmission Line (Answer may vary)
METHODS OF INSTALLING
1.Slack Stringing
Can only be utilized if it is not necessary to keep the
conductor off of the ground, and if no energized lines
lie beneath the line being strung.
2. Semi-tension methods
-are merely an upgrading of slack stringing, but do
not necessarily keep the conductor completely clear
of the ground, or the lines used to pull.
3.Full-tension stringing
is a method of installing the conductors and
overhead ground wire in which sufficient pulling
capabilities on one end and tension capabilities on
the other.
