I THE SCRIPTURE
We believe in the complete and absolute verbal inspiration of the Bible (66 books of the Old ang Newe
Testaments) in the original manuscript, as the Word of God, without error.
We hold them to be the supreme and final authority in all matters of doctrine (teachings), faith and
practice for all Christians. (Psalams 119:89-90; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Isa. 40:8; Matt.
5:18; John 16: 12-13; Psalms 19:7-9).
II GOD
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; co-
eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and
perfection, worthy of the same worship, honor, confidence, and obedience. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19-20;
Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 1:4-6).
We believe in the Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God, sinless and incapable of
sinning having conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between aGod and man and that He was not
only representative, but also substitutionary when he died on the cross for sinners, as a sacrifice to
appease God’s just anger and so reconcile man to God.
We believe that our justification is made sure by the Lord Jesus Christ having been literally and physically
raised from the dead, and ascended to heaven where he is now exalted at the right hand of the Father,
fulfilling His High priestly role as Intercessor and Advocate. (John 1:1-3, 14; Phil. 2:6-7; (New Filipino
Version); Matt. 1:18-25; Heb. 4:15; 1 Tim. 2:5-6; Rom. 3:24-25; 2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Perter 3:18; 1 Cor. 15:3-
4; Luke 24:39-43; Acts 1:9; Ro. 8:34; 1 Peter 1:3, 5; Heb. 7:24-25).
IV HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity, though omnipresent from all eternity came
to live on earth in a special sense on the Day of Pentecost according to the divine promise, to convict the
world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.
We believe that whoever receives Christ Jesus as his Lord and Savior is baptized into the body of Christ
by the Holy spirit and from that moment is indwelt by the spirit in His completeness, the Spirit giving a
new life, guiding them individually and collectively into all truth, giving them vistory over sin to live a holy
life, and empowering and compelling them to be effective witness for Christ (Mt. 28:18-20; John 16:7-10;
Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 12:13; Gal. 5:22-25; Eph. 1:13-14; Ro. 8:9, 13-16).
V MAN AND SIN
We believe that man was created by God in His own image and likeness, but that through Adam’s willful
disobedience all mankind inherited a sinful nature, which is totally fallen spiritually, physically,
intellectually, and morally. Being a sinner man is separated from God and entirely unable to save himself
from the rightful condemnation of God.
We believe that all those who reject or even neglect Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are therfore
absolutely and eternally lost (Gen. 1:26-27; Ro. 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3; Ro. 3:23; John 3:36; Heb. 6:3).
We believe that there is only one way of salvation and that is through faith in Jesus Christ, by repenting
of sin and personally receiving Him as Lord and Savior. Thus, the believer rest in Christ’s finished work
and righteousness and that this is entirely by God’s grace and not by our good works.
We believe in both God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility in the process of salvation. It is the
privilege of every believer to rejoice in the assurance of His salvation through the testimony of God’s
written works from the very moment he received Christ, being adopted as an eternal child of God (John
3:16; John 14:6; Ro. 3:22; Eph. 2:8-9; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9; Ro. 8:14-16; John 5:24; 1 John 5:11-13;
Ro. 8:31-39; John 1:12).
VII SANCTIFICATION
We believed that every saved person is completely sanctified (made holy) because of their position in
Christ Jesus.
We also believe that the Christian’s sinful nature is still retained until his life on earth is ended and so
while his holy status is guaranteed, the believer also need to grow in holiness on a day to day
experience.
We believe that the development of the full fruit of the Holy Spirit is the mark of spiritual maturity rather
than mere practice of spiritual gift (2 Cor. 5:17; 1 Thes. 5:23; Eph. 4:22-24; Gal. 5:22-23; 1 Cor. 12:31-
13:13).
We believe that the church is a spiritual organism made up of all regenerated or born again persons.
We believe further, that this universal church assumes visibility in the form of local assemblies, and that
is assembly or local church is a complete expression of universal church. Responsible to and
representative of Christ. Each local church is therefore assured of the real spiritual presence of Christ in
thier midst.
We believe that the Holy Spirit appoints Elders and Deacons for each local church to give spiritual
guidance and leadership, and also every believer stands as priest to God with accompanying privileges
and responsibilities (Mt. 16:18; Mt. 18:20; Eph. 5:25-27; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; Acts 20:17, 28-32; 1 Tim. 3:1-
13; 1 Peter 2:5, 9).
We believe that the Lord Jesus has left two ordinances to be observed by the local church.
A. Water baptism is for the believers, only in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit. Baptism by immersion accurately symbolizes our faith in the crucified, buried and
risen Savior, and pictures our identification with Him in our death to sin and resurrected to new
life.
B. The Lord’s Supper is where believers regularly partake of the bread and of the cup in
remembrance of the Lord’s death until He comes. This is preceded by solemn self-examination. It
is central in the life of the church where the remembrance of the Lord Jesus and His work result
in spiritual renewal and joyous corporate worship. (Mat. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 8:36-39; Ro.
6:1-15; Lk. 22:15-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-31).
X MARRIAGE
We believe that marriage was instituted by god and His ideal for this has been that one man and one
woman live together, independent of parents, in life long union. This ideal union is broken only by death,
in which case the surviving partner is free to remarry.
Husband and wife must exercise submission to each other, though the wife in particular is required to
recognize the husband’s headship of the family. This relationship maust be a fitting picture of the
relationship between Christ and His body, the church. (Gen. 2:18-24; Mat. 19:4-6; Ro. 7:2, 3; 1 Cor.
7:39; 1 Tim. 5:14; Eph. 5:1-33).
XI THE FUTURE
We believe in the sure return of the Lord Jesus Christ to stablished His millennial Kingdom on earth, that
the second coming will be a literal. Bodily, personal return and that His coming for His bride, the church,
is our blessed hope set before us, for which we constantly looking.
We believe the return of Christ will result in the bodily resurrection of all men; the saved to eternal life
and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.
We believe that Satan, the arch enemy of God, who was condemned at the cross, awaits at the eternal
judgment in hell after Christ returns. (Mat. 24:27, 30, 44; Acts 1:10-11; John 14:1, 3; 1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1
Thes. 4:13-18; 2 Thes. 1:7-10; Rev. 20:2, 6, 11-15).
