1. Introduction/ Motivation
Show a picture of a child dancing. Ask the pupil, “What can
you say about the picture? Now we’ll learn about action
words.

2. Presentation
a. Present the picture and tell a story about it.
The girl dances early in the morning. Then she eats her
breakfast, brush her teeth, change her clothes and gets
ready for school.

3. Discussion
What is the girl doing in the story? Are you also doing the
same? What preparations did you do before going to school? All we
do this morning tells an action or we call an action words..

4. Generalization:
Guide the pupils in answering. What is an action words?

5. Application
Tell me what action I made.

B. Lesson Proper:
1. Introduction/ Motivation
Show a bag to the class and ask questions.
Ask: What is the size of this bag? How about the color? How
about this yellow bell flower, what is the color? size?

2. Unlocking of Difficulties
Show real objects.
Color- The color of of your blouse is white.
Size- This bag is small or tiny that one is big. This pencil is
short.
Shape- The shape of the chalkboard is rectangle.
Creature- All persons or animals created by God.
Amaze- We amazes or admires beautiful things.

3. Presentation
All the words that we use to describe the objects, persons,
animals and places are called describing words . A
describing word is also called an adjective. This morning will
learn about describing words or adjectives.

4. Discussion
Read a short poem made to the pupils entitled “Butterfy”

“Butterfly”
Down to the garden, where green grass you see
Big and small flowers bloom in their way
A colorful and beautiful butterflies pass by,
Sometimes orange, brown, white, yellow and blue
I love these tiny creatures God made to amaze me.

1. Have you seen a butterfly?


2. What are the colors of the butterfly that you see?
3. In the poem “Butterfly” what word describes the grass?
4. How about the flowers what are the sizes?
5. What colors describes the butterflies in the poem?
6. If you’re ask by a fairy to be a butterfly? Do you also like
to be a butterfly? Why?

a. Show them a picture of a rose and let them describe it.


What is the color? Shape? Size?
b. Show them a picture of a girl. What can you say about the
dress? Is she beautiful?
c. What picture is this? What is the color of a butterfly? It is
big or not?

All the words that describe the object, animal, person, and
place are called describing words or adjective.

Let the pupil get anything from their bag and say:
a. This is a bag. It is small.
b. This is a pencil. It is short.

5. Generalization
Guide the pupils in answering the question. What is describing
words?
(Describing words are words that describe an object, person,
place and animal.)
Valuing: Why do we need to take care of our belongings?

6. Application
Underline the describing word or adjective in a sentence.
1. The flower is yellow.
2. Princess is pretty.
3. The chair is blue.
4. The carabao is big.
5. The pencil is long.
