The Erasmus Mundus MAPP program offers a unique opportunity to study at prestigious universities

with diverse academic traditions, where I can focus on global policy challenges. The flexibility of
choosing my mobility track allows me to tailor my studies to the issues that matter most to me, such as
reducing inequality. Through internships and study trips, I’ll engage directly with real-world policy
challenges, gaining insight into how policies are implemented across varied cultural and political
contexts. The program’s global perspective will allow me to design interventions that address both
national and international dimensions of inequality. The prestige and global recognition of the Erasmus
Mundus degree will open doors to work with leading global organizations and government agencies,
private sectors etc., helping me thrive in the global job market.

The CEU-IBEI track in Global Public Policy is the perfect fit for my goals, combining policy making and
problem-solving in both global and international contexts. I am eager to engage with the program’s
focus on global policy processes, which will allow me to gain a deeper understanding of the role of
international organizations and governments. The opportunity to learn from professors like Prof. Agnes
Batory is something I truly look forward to. Her expertise and mentorship will be pivotal in shaping my
academic understanding and professional trajectory in global public policy. The balance of theoretical
knowledge and practical research skills will equip me to analyse complex global policy challenges.
Studying at Central European University and Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals will give me
hands-on experience in dynamic policy environments. This exposure is key to my goal of working in
international organizations or policy advisory roles, where I will contribute to more equitable,
sustainable policies.

I graduated top of my class with a first-class Honors in Community Development, focusing on modules
like Development Economics, Social Statistics, and Politics of Development. My thesis on domestic
violence against men identified critical policy gaps with far-reaching implications. After graduation, I
interned with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, where I focused on LGBTQI issues and
developed policy frameworks. I volunteered with the Mathare Social Justice Centre, advocating for
better policies for slum dwellers. These experiences motivate me to pursue the MAPP program, which
will give me the practical and analytical tools needed to influence policy at both global and local levels

My research will focus on "Bridging the Digital Divide: Leveraging Data to Rethink Global Economic
Policies for Inclusive Development", exploring how digital inequality impacts global economic policies.
The study will aim to identify actionable solutions for closing the digital gap. This research will also lay a
foundation for pursuing a PhD in related fields.

The CEU-IBEI Global Public Policy track will equip me with the tools needed to tackle policy-making and
problem-solving in a global context. My ultimate goal is to become a Senior Researcher in Policy Studies
and a professor of public policy, dedicating my career to advancing research, shaping policy analysis, and
mentoring the next generation of policy professionals.
