Introduction

Crafting the perfect prompts for ChatGPT is like coming up with the right
search terms to input into Google to have it find what you’re looking for.

Treating ChatGPT like the cross between a Google-like search engine and a
freelance content creator requires ‘the art of’ perfecting prompt engineering
- and will result in the difference between you getting a result that ALWAYS
starts with ‘the art of’ … and getting fresh content that shares what you
need in a way that makes sense.

Let’s face it. Once you spend more than an hour in the ChatGPT software
it’s pretty easy to start seeing some patterns in language show up.

Your job then, is to get CLEVER with your prompts.

Using the CLEVER approach you can write more effective prompts that will
generate the high-quality results you need, make your content sound more
natural and readable, make your sales copy higher converting and in
general, create your content much faster.

What Are CLEVER ChatGPT Prompts?

Back in 2012 I got lucky with some misspelled domain names. They used to get a lot of
traffic and were quite valuable as a result. People would type in the wrong words and
arrive by mistake on my website where I’d display ads that would send them to
something more relevant to what they were originally searching for.

Now if you type in the wrong words, Google checks and automatically corrects you to
the RIGHT spelling, showing results for the correct word offering the misspelled option
by clicking an extra link (which almost never happens).

The result is, Google gets the person to what they want faster.

ChatGPT is constantly doing that. They want to get people to their desired content as
fast as possible. So it WILL keep getting better, but in the meantime as this is still such
new software we need to guide it (cleverly) to give us the results we want with the
language, keywords and guidance it requires.

The entire goal for Google is to have people use it to find what they want as fast as
possible.

The same is for ChatGPT, which will adjust and improve fast with the amount of data it’s
processing. However, at the end of the day… it’s a program - giving it the right input will
get you the results you want much faster.

Which is why we’ve put together the CLEVER approach to getting what you want,
faster.

Here’s a breakdown of what this approach entails. We’ll break each of the sections
down further in this report, as well as useful prompts and keywords for each step of the
way.

CLEVER stands for:

C - CLARITY: Crafting AI Prompts For Clarity And Impact

5
L - LANGUAGE: Language And Phrasing For Better Prompts

E - EFFICIENCY: Streamlining Your AI Prompts For Optimal Performance

V - VALUE: Creating AI Prompts That Provide Real Valuable Content

E - EVALUATION: Measuring The Success Of Your AI Prompts And Making

Improvements

R - RESULTS: How To Tweak And Adjust Your Prompts For Better Results Next Time

Keeping these in mind you’ll be able to tighten up the prompts you give to ChatGPT and
guide it to better results you can actually use in your online marketing and content
creation.

IT’S IMPORTANT TO NOTE: You’re using a bot, so yes - it can create a LOT of content
fast. Yes, you can guide it using the information in this report to make better content
BUT nothing beats human personalisation.

Whatever you’re creating make sure you always add YOUR VOICE and some human
touch to it - otherwise your readers will either be connecting with a robot, or skim
reading past all the ‘fluff’ and moving on to something else pretty fast.

For best results, use this tool as a tool - not as the entire content creation method.

So let’s get started and break each of these CLEVER tactics down a bit further!

CLARITY

As an online marketer using AI text generation tools to create content, your success
depends on the quality of the output. The key to generating high-quality output is
crafting clear and specific prompts that guide the AI in the right direction. In this chapter,
we'll explore the power of precision in crafting effective prompts for AI text generation.

In this chapter, we will explore the essential elements of crafting clear prompts that can
lead to effective AI text generation. We will look at how precision, simplicity, and
attention to detail can make a significant difference in the quality of the generated
content.

The Power of Precision: How to Write Prompts That Leave No

Room for Misinterpretation

Precision is key when it comes to crafting prompts for AI text generation. The more
specific and detailed your prompts are, the more likely you are to get the results you
want. Here are some tips for writing precise prompts:

● Be clear about the purpose of the content you want to generate.

● Use clear, unambiguous language in your prompts.
● Provide examples or templates for the AI text generator to follow.
● Use structured data formats, such as XML or JSON, to ensure that the AI
understands the meaning of your prompts.

Examples:

Poor prompt: "Write an article about cars."

Improved prompt: "Write a 1000-word article on the history of the Ford Mustang,
covering its design, features, and cultural impact."

Poor prompt: "Create a social media post about coffee."

Improved prompt: "Write a tweet promoting a new line of organic, fair-trade coffee
beans, emphasizing their unique flavor profile and the sustainable farming practices used
to produce them."

8
The Art of Simplicity: Streamlining Your Prompts for More
Effective AI Text Generation

While precision is crucial, simplicity is equally important when it comes to crafting

effective prompts for AI text generation. Here are some tips for simplifying your
prompts:

● Keep your prompts short and to the point.

● Use simple language and avoid jargon or technical terms.
● Focus on one idea or topic per prompt.
● Use bullet points or numbered lists to break down complex prompts into smaller,
more manageable parts.

Examples:

Poor prompt: "Generate a report on the impact of climate change on the agricultural
industry, including data on crop yields, water usage, and greenhouse gas emissions."
Improved prompt: "Write a 500-word report on how climate change is affecting crop
yields in the United States."

Poor prompt: "Write a blog post about SEO."

Improved prompt: "Write a 1000-word blog post outlining the basics of on-page SEO
for small businesses."

Nailing the Nitty-Gritty: How Focusing on Details Can Improve

Your AI-Generated Content

Paying attention to the details of your prompts can make a significant difference in the
quality of the AI-generated content. Here are some tips for nailing the nitty-gritty:

● Use specific language to describe the tone, style, and audience for the content.
● Provide detailed instructions for formatting, headings, and subheadings.
● Incorporate keywords and key phrases that will help the AI understand the intent
of your prompts.
● Avoid vague or ambiguous terms that could lead to misinterpretation by the AI.

9
Examples:

Poor prompt: "Write an article about technology for a general audience."

Improved prompt: "Write a 750-word article on the latest trends in wearable
technology for a tech-savvy audience of 25-45-year-olds."

Poor prompt: "Create a product description for a new line of shoes."

Improved prompt: "Write a 100-word product description for a new line of athletic
shoes, emphasizing their lightweight construction, cushioned sole, and moisture-wicking
fabric."

By focusing on precision, simplicity, and attention to detail, you can craft clear prompts
that lead to more effective AI text generation. With these tips, you can generate
high-quality content that will engage your audience, drive traffic to your website, and
ultimately help you achieve your marketing goals.

LANGUAGE
Language is the key to creating expressive and unique AI-generated content. The right
words, phrases, and syntax can make all the difference in producing text that captures
attention, communicates ideas clearly, and drives traffic to your website. In this chapter,
we'll explore the various elements of language that can enhance the output of AI text
generators, and how to craft prompts that leverage them to produce compelling content.

Beyond Buzzwords: How to Use Specific Language to Create

More Impactful AI-Generated Content

● Avoid vague or overused buzzwords and cliches that can dilute the impact of your
content. Instead, use specific, descriptive language that paints a vivid picture for
your audience.
● Consider the unique characteristics and preferences of your audience, and tailor
your language to resonate with them. For example, if your audience is interested
in a particular niche or industry, use jargon or terminology specific to that field.
● Use sensory language to appeal to your readers' senses and emotions. Words
that evoke taste, touch, smell, sight, and sound can make your content more
engaging and memorable.

Examples:

Poor prompt: Write an article about veganism.

Improved prompt: Create an informative article about the health benefits of a
plant-based diet, including scientific research and statistics.

The Beauty of Brevity: Why Shorter Prompts Can Lead to More

Compelling AI Text Generation

● Keep your prompts concise and to the point. Long-winded prompts can confuse
or overwhelm the AI text generator, resulting in less effective output.
● Use bullet points, lists, and other formatting techniques to break up your prompts
into easily digestible chunks. This can help the AI generator process the
information more efficiently and produce more effective content.

13
● Focus on the most important information or key points you want to convey in
your prompts. This can help the AI text generator hone in on the most relevant
content and produce more impactful output.

Examples:

Poor prompt: Write a blog post about the benefits of exercise.

Improved prompt: Write a concise blog post outlining the top 5 benefits of a regular
exercise routine, including weight loss, increased energy, and improved mood.

The Secret Sauce of Syntax: The Importance of Sentence

Structure in Enhancing AI-Generated Output:

● Vary your sentence structure to keep your content fresh and engaging. Use a mix
of short and long sentences, and vary the placement of phrases and clauses
within them.
● Pay attention to the tone and style of your content, and adjust your sentence
structure accordingly. For example, if you want to convey urgency or excitement,
shorter, punchier sentences might be more effective.
● Consider the context in which your content will be consumed, and adjust your
sentence structure to suit it. For example, social media posts might require
shorter, more concise sentences, while longer-form content like articles or blog
posts might allow for more complex sentence structures.

Examples:

Poor prompt: Write a product description for a new book.

Improved prompt: Craft a compelling product description for a new book, using vivid
language and an engaging narrative style to entice potential readers and highlight the
unique features of the book.

Crafting effective prompts for AI text generators requires a keen understanding of

language and its various components. By using specific, descriptive language, keeping
prompts concise and to the point, and varying sentence structure to suit the context of
your content, you can produce AI-generated output that is both expressive and unique.

14
This, in turn, can drive traffic to your website, increase email subscriptions, and boost
sales of your products or services.

Here’s a collection of prompts that include a language and

wording focus:

● Use language that resonates with your target audience to create a connection and
establish trust. For example, "As a [target audience], you know the struggle of
[problem or pain point]. That's why we've created [product or solution] to help
you [benefit or solution]."
● Use powerful verbs and descriptive language to create a sense of excitement and
urgency. For example, "Unlock the secret to [benefit] with our revolutionary
[product or solution]. Don't miss out on this exclusive opportunity to [action]."
● Create a clear and concise call-to-action that encourages your audience to take
action. For example, "Ready to [benefit]? Click here to [action] and start [benefit]
today."
● Use sensory language to create a vivid and memorable experience for your
audience. For example, "Experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of [destination
or product]. Indulge in [experience or benefit] like never before."
● Use emotionally-charged language to tap into your audience's desires and pain
points. For example, "Are you tired of [problem]? Say goodbye to [pain point] and
hello to [benefit] with [product or solution]."
● Use storytelling techniques to engage your audience and create a connection. For
example, "Meet [character or persona], a [description of character]. [Character]
was struggling with [problem] until they discovered [product or solution]. Now
[character] is living [benefit] and you can too."
● Use concise language and bullet points to clearly communicate the features and
benefits of your product or service. For example, "Our [product or service] offers:
[feature 1], [feature 2], and [feature 3]. Experience [benefit 1], [benefit 2], and
[benefit 3] for yourself."
● Use metaphors and analogies to explain complex concepts in a simple and
relatable way. For example, "Our [product or solution] is like a personal assistant
for your [task or problem]. Let us handle the details so you can focus on [benefit]."

15
● Use humor and personality to create a memorable and shareable experience for
your audience. For example, "Why be ordinary when you can be [adjective]? Join
the [product or brand] revolution and start living your best [noun] today."
● Use questions to engage your audience and encourage them to think about their
needs and desires. For example, "Are you tired of [problem]? Do you want to
[benefit]? Discover the solution with [product or solution]."
● Use hyperbolic language to create a sense of excitement and exaggeration. For
example, "Experience the most [adjective] [product or solution] on the market.
Say goodbye to [problem] and hello to [benefit]."
● Use statistics and data to establish credibility and authority. For example, "Studies
show that [statistic]. That's why [product or solution] is the best choice for [target
audience]."
● Use testimonials and social proof to demonstrate the effectiveness of your
product or service. For example, "Don't just take our word for it. Hear from our
satisfied customers who have experienced [benefit] with [product or solution]."
● Use urgency and scarcity to create a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out). For
example, "Limited time offer! Sign up now to receive [bonus or discount] and start
experiencing [benefit]."
