COVER LETTER

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my keen interest in the intern position at your esteemed law firm, I am
particularly drawn to the specialization competition law, general corporate, mergers &
acquisitions, etc, which aligns closely with my academic pursuits and career aspirations. In my
penultimate year of law school at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow,
I have consistently excelled academically, maintaining a commendable rank of 22 among 184
students in my batch. Additionally, I am concurrently pursuing the Company Secretary Course
by ICSI, where I have completed Module 1 of the executive level and will attempt Module 2 in
the near future.

I have had the opportunity to work with several esteemed legal firms, including Desai &
Diwanji, Trilegal, and Maximus Legal, as well as under the guidance of Advocate Mayank
Verma. While interning at these firms, I acquainted myself with corporate law, gaining
knowledge of company law, FEMA law, securities law and contract law. During internships, I
researched provisions relating to the dividend disbursement process, ESOPS, Related party
transactions, independent directors, etc. I also got the opportunity to work on aspects of banking
law, where I learnt the art of drafting replies, notices and original applications and got a deep
understanding of SARFAESI law and IBC law. These diverse experiences have equipped me
with a robust understanding of legal research, drafting, and the practical application of law in
corporate contexts, preparing me to contribute effectively to your team.

Throughout my internship, I am eager to acquire practical experience in corporate and


commercial law. My goal is to grasp the critical importance of corporate, financial and
insolvency laws in promoting innovation within the realms of business and technology. I also
anticipate the opportunity to be mentored by experienced professionals, to connect with fellow
interns, and to make meaningful contributions to team initiatives, all of which will broaden my
understanding and prospects in the corporate sector.
