This project aims to empower students with the knowledge and skills to
become responsible environmental stewards. By surveying students'
Program Description behaviors and knowledge regarding recycling and waste management,
we will identify areas for improvement. The survey results will guide
the orientation and activities, providing a unique opportunity to foster a
culture of environmental responsibility within the school community.
Methodology
The students will attend an orientation in the Vicente Madrigal
Integrated School Covered Court. This event will present a unique
opportunity to empower students with the knowledge and skills they
need to become responsible environmental stewards. It will explain the
importance of recycling and segregation in schools by highlighting the
benefits and challenges of implementing recycling activities.
questions related to the topic, with cash prizes for those who answer
correctly to encourage engagement. We will also conduct a follow-up
survey to assess what the students have learned after the orientation.

Expected Output. Students understand the importance of proper waste segregation and
recycling and apply it both at school and home. They develop a sense of
environmental responsibility, becoming more mindful of their actions
toward waste management. Fewer improper waste disposals occur as
students become more educated and committed to recycling practices.
By empowering these students with the knowledge and tools for proper
waste management, they can become sustainability advocates, setting an
example for younger peers and influencing positive change within the
school community.
