Payment Options
There are a few different ways to make a payment. You can send a check, money order, or your credit card information in the envelope given.
You can scan the QR barcode on the front of the statement by using an application on your mobile device. You can also pay online at UPMC.
MySecureBill.com or your MyUPMC account at MyUPMC.com. If you would like to talk about payment arrangements, please reach out to our
Customer Service Department.
Payment by Check
By sending a check, you are authorizing the use of the information on your check to make a one-time electronic debit from the account on which
the check is drawn, or to process the payment as a check transaction. The electronic debit, which may be posted to your account as early as the
date your check is received, will only be for the amount of your check. The original check will be destroyed and we will retain its image for our
records. If you have any questions, call the customer service number on the front of this billing statement. Do not enter specific instructions on
the check or payment coupon. Checks are processed by an automated process that will not be able to acknowledge the written instructions. If
you have specific instructions regarding your account, please contact the Customer Service department toll-free at 844-591-5949.
Availability of Financial Assistance
UPMC is committed to offering financial assistance to people who have health care needs and are uninsured, underinsured or not eligible for a
government program. If you do not have insurance or are underinsured, you may be eligible for financial assistance. This assistance applies to
emergency care and services that are medically necessary. Please note that there are certain service exclusions that are not usually eligible for
financial assistance. Depending on your individual need, either free care or reduced payment obligation may be offered. No finance charges,
interest or late payment fees will apply as your bill will not exceed the total amount charged. If you have difficulty understanding or speaking
English, language assistance services are available free of charge. Call 1-800-371-8359.
