CALIBRATION
a. D1 - Relay 1 on time
b. D2 - Delay between Coarse feed to fine fed
c. D3 - Fine Feed to Relay 4 ‘ON’
d. D4 - Relay 4 on time
Keep the vessel on the platform. Give start command using push button. Relay 5 will
ON showing acceptance of start command. Relay 1 will ON for set time (D1).
After delay time D1, Indicator becomes zero and coarse feed relay will ON. This relay
will be on till (Set – Fine feed) is achieved. Relay 2 is Off and Relay 3 for Fine feed
will ON depending upon Delay ‘2’ Settings.
7. If different, enter new value using Key (4) & (3) - Key (3)
for shifting

Set DIT = 0 for maximum intensity DIT (Display Intensity)
Set DIT = 1 for medium intensity Normally 0
Set DIT = 2 for low intensity

Parts Counting:
Make sure that machine is in weighing mode. Keep some pieces on pan. Press
MODE.
Display shows COUNT. Press Enter . Display shows P : 00000
Enter number of pieces lying on the Pan and ENTER.

OPERATION
Connect the loadcell and give 230V AC supply. Power On indicator. Keep the toggle
switch on normal for instantaneous load. For peak load, keep it in peak position.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
The system supplied consist of a fabricated platform of 13M X 1.5M size . The platform
will have necessary saddle to accommodate the TMT Rod. This platform is supported
by 6Nos. loadcells. The output of the loadcells, which is proportional to the weight of the
Rod on the platform will be connected to the Digital Controller through junction box.
The output signal will be processed and the weight of the Rod will be displayed digitally.
The controller will have an RS232C output for the computer interface. The system will
also have a local indicator ACCEPT Push button, indicator lamp and Tare button.
The supervisor will enter all the datas like, Batch No., Shift No. Lot No. Size etc.
through the computer keyboard. Now the operator can load the material to the platform.
The local indicator will display the weight of the rod placed on the platform. Now the
operator can press the Accept button. The Weight data will be transferred to the computer
and this information will be stored in the Computer. The weighed material can be
removed from the platform and the system will be ready for next weighing operation.
Print out with all the datas can be obtained any time on demand.

OPERATION:
Before switching ON the system, hold the Enter key ( Key – 4) and power ON the
system. The Display shows ‘ …….. ‘ for 5 seconds and goes blank. Release the Enter
Connect the loadcell to the indicator. The display will show “ Electroweigh Instruments ‘
and TARE. Press the Tare Key. Now the display will show zero. Now the system is
ready for use. In operation all the Key except TARE Key are disabled.
CALIBRATION
The System is calibrated at the factory for a 1000Kg load. However to calibrate the
system keep a known load on the loadcell. Then press Key -3. The display will show
PWD . Then press Key – 4. The display show “ ………. “. Enter password 1,2, 3 ,4
by pressing the respective keys. Then the display will show ‘CAL”. Press Key- 4. The
display now shows the previously set value with a digit blinking. To increment this
digit, press Key-1 or to decrement press Key-2 . Shift the blinking digit by pressing Key-
3 and store the value by pressing Key-4. Now the display show ‘CAL’. Press Key-2 to

The System consist of a high precision Tension type (S type) loadcells with end shackle
at both ends and a Field Programmable Digital Load Indicator . The element under test
to be connected to the end shackle and apply load. The output of the loadcell
proportional to the load applied will be processed and the load will be displayed on the
indicator.

OPERATION:
Keep the platform in a levelled surface. Connect the power supply plug to 230V, 50Hz,
Single Phase main power supply source and Switch ‘ON’. The Power On Lamp will
indicate power to the indicator. Switch on the Indicator through the On/Off switch
provided on the Indicator. Now the display will show “ ELECTROWEIGH” and
‘TARE’. Press the Tare Key. The display will show ‘0’ (Zero). Now the scale is ready
for use.
Keep the items to be weighed on the centre of the platform. The weight of the material
will be displayed on the Indicator (It is recommended to keep the material to be weighed
than 60 seconds, the Indicator will go to ‘SLEEP MODE’ and the display will indicate
“ELECTROWEIGH”. When there is any change in the weight on the platform, the

“ Tared Off ‘ by pressing the tare key, to take the direct weight of the material.

The system consist of 3Nos. High Precision Compression type loadcells of 3T capacity
each and Digital Load Indicator. The hopper is mounted on the loadcells and the output
of the loadcell which is proportional to the weight of the material inside the hopper is
connected to a Digital Indicator through a junction box.
The Load Indicator is a field programmable indicator designed to be used with strain
guage based transducers to measure the load. It can take an input of 20mV DC and
read upto Max of 20000 counts. This is a wall mounting equipment. This indicator is
specially designed to read the rate of flow of material from the hopper. The RATE is
calculated on the loss in weight material with respect to time in step of 1minute. The
difference between the Load W1 and Load W2 divided by the Time will be the rate of
low:
Rate Flow = W1 – W2

The indicator can be programmed through keyboard for range, resolution., calibration ,
set point and decimal point. The front panel has got a digital display, set point indication
facility and a keyboard. The display can indicate the following.

INSTALLATION
The power supply should be made available with a proper earthing within 2 meters of the
indicator. Connect the instrument to ac mains through the connector provided at the rear
of the indicator. Mains voltage to be used is given in the specification.
INSTALLATION:
Connect the transducer to the equipment through the connector provided at the back of
the indicator and switch ON the system. Configure the equipment for measurement as
given in the following (CONFIGURING THE SYSTEM) sections.
Ensure that there is no load on the transducer. Keep TARE/STR key pressed and switch
ON the instrument with the switch provided at the back panel. The system will display
‘H-CAL’. Release TARE/STR key once the ‘H-CAL‘ has appeared. Now the equipment
is ready for Hardware TARE & CALIBRATION and will display a reading
corresponding to initial unbalance of transducer.
Should the unbalance be more than 5% of the Range then switch OFF the indicator,
open the equipment and switch ON while pressing TARE/STR key. Adjust TARE
potentiometer on ADC card to zero the display.
Load the loadcell with a known weight approximately 60-80% of the capacity if the
displayed value is not correct, adjust the SPAN Pot meter to display the correct Value
and close the box. This completes the hardware Tare & Calibration operation.
Switch the equipment ON again, It will read (EuuI) momentarily and then zero or some
reading. Now press TARE key, the display will show TARE. Now press the INC (^) key.
The reading will be zeroed and the indicator will read zero value.

RANGE SETTING:
1. Press SET/PGM key, display shows Set-1 or ‘ …’. Then press ‘ ^ ‘ key, the display
Shows ‘ …….. ‘ . Now press > , SET and ENT Keys in sequence.
2. If the sequence is wrong the display will come out of Configuration Mode.
3.The display shows ‘ rAnge’. Press STR key the display changes to ‘x0000’ with MSD
blinking. Press ‘^’ key to change the value of flashing digit.
4. Use the SHIFT (>) key to move the blinking to the right side digit. Change the value
by using INC key. Continue this step till the required value is entered. (Range is the
reading required for 20mV input).
5. Press TARE /STR key to store the set value of range. Now the instrument
automatically goes to the next programming parameter i.e. Resolution.
RESOLUTION SETTING:
The display shows ‘rSn-X’ with ‘r’ blinking and the X is the previous resolution. If no
change is required press INC key and the display will go to next programming parameter
Decimal Point. If a change is required, press STR key and the blinking display changes
to ‘X’.
1. Use increment key (^) and set the last digit to any one of the values given viz 0,1,2,5.
2. Press TARE /STR to store the above setting. Display goes automatically to next
programming parameter i.e. DECIMAL POINT.
Display shows dp-X with ‘d’ blinking. If no change is required press INC key and the
display will go to next programming “dAC”. If a change is required, press STR key and
the blinking display changes to ‘X’.

1. Press increment key (^) for selecting the decimal point (i.e 2, 3, 4,5)
2. Press TARE/STR key and store the set value, display automatically goes to next
programming parameter viz. DAC (Range corresponding to 4-20mA).
Display shows dAC with ‘d’ blinking. If no change is required press INC key and the
display will go to next programming parameter S-CAL. If a change is required, press
STR key and the previous DAC Value is displayed with MSD blinking.
Enter the Value for which full scale Analog output (20 mA/ 10V) required and press the
STR key, the system goes to the next Parameter S-CAL Software Calibration). Press
the SET key the system comes out of programming mode and do the Software
calibration as given below:
Press the SET key, the display will go to PASS WORD mode and will show ‘ ….. ‘
Now Press Shift (>), INC ( ^) , SET and STR keys successively. Now the display
shows ‘ S-CAL ‘ with ‘S’ blinking. If no change is required, press SET key and display
will come out of the calibration mode and will display the load.
If change is required, Press STR key and the display change to XXXX. , which is the
previously programmed CAL VALUE where , ‘X’ blinks, using INC (^) and SHIFT ( >)
keys , set the display value equal to the load on the loadcell . Now press TARE/STR
key. It comes to weighing mode, Display shows the load on the loadcell Now the
indicator is ready for operation.

1) TARE: For tarring, press tare and store. Indicator value will becomes zero .
For initial tarring, press Tare and ‘RESET ‘.Adjust the tare pot inside the ADC
to zero.
b) CAL : After selecting range, the display shows PROG. …. Then press
CAL button display will show previous CAL value. Keep the known weight on
the Weigh Bridge. Enter the value then press “ STORE ‘ button.
c) RES: After CAL entry, the display will show PROG … Press “ RES “
button. The display will show previous RES. selected value. By using next
button, select required RES. i.e. 1 , 2 , 5, 0. Select zero and Press 1 store
button. The display will show PROG…..
For coming back, press next button then display will come back to
weighing mode.

CALIBRATION:
Press Key No.1 and switch on the scale. The display will show HELLO – 09 and then
CAL Unc. (calibration unlocked). Press Key -2 again. Display will show Pass .1 . Press
Key-2 again. The display will show LOAD. Now place a known weight on the pan. The
display will show 02000.
Now enter the value of the weight placed on the pan using Key No. 4 and shift the digit
by using Key No.3. Now store the entered weight by pressing the Key No.2 again. The
display goes off and come again showing the calibrated value.
NOTE: Scale is configured and calibrated at the factory. Hence no calibration required at
site.
