    A The School under the Bridge 1 In India, many children don’t go to school. They
    live in very poor places that don’t have any schools. One man, Rajesh Sharma, sees
    the children on the streets. He decides to help these children by opening a free
    school for them. 2 Sharma’s school doesn’t look like other schools because he
    doesn't have a lot of money. His school is under a bridge in New Delhi. There
    aren’t any walls or classrooms, and there are only a few chairs for the teachers.
    The children have classes outside, and they can hear the trains coming and going on
    the bridge above their heads. 3 Nine-year-old Priyanka goes to The School under
    the Bridge. She says, “The teaching here is good. I like coming to this school.”
    She studies there because she wants to have a good job in the future. 4 Sharma and
    all the other teachers at the school don’t get any money for their work with the
    children. They teach the children because they want to help boys and girls like
    Priyanka and give them a better future. Sharma believes that children from poor
    families can stop being poor. He believes that if children go to school and get a
    good education*, they will have better jobs and more money in the future. 51015 B
