SEARCH ENGINE
• Is a software program that helps people find the information they are looking
for online using keywords or phrases.
• Search engine is a platform on which a user can search the internet content.
• Search engines are able to return results quickly, even with millions of websites
online.
• Google, Yahoo, Bing, are popular search engines.
BROWSER VS SEARCH ENGINE
• A browser is a piece of software that retrieves and display web pages,
• While a search engine is a website that helps people find web pages from other websites.
• The moment you open a browser, the browser will display a search engine’s home page.
Search engines and browsers are two forms of technology that depend
upon one another.
A browser is required to use a search engine, and a search engine
cannot deliver results without a browser.

TYPES OF ISP UNPACKED..
• Cable ISPs: These providers use cable television lines to deliver internet service to subscribers.
Cable ISPs can offer relatively high speeds and are widely available in urban and suburban
areas.
• Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) ISPs:DSL uses traditional telephone lines to provide internet
access. The speed and availability of DSL can vary based on the distance between the user's
location and the ISP's central office.
• Fiber-optic ISPs: Fiber-optic internet uses thin strands of glass or plastic to transmit data as
pulses of light. It provides extremely high-speed internet and is becoming increasingly popular
in urban areas.

2. Data transmission – ISPs facilitate transmission of data between users and internet.
3. IP address allocation – they allocate unique IP address to their customers, allowing devices
to be identified and communicate with other devices on the net.
4. Internet security – they offer security features such as firewalls and antivirus software to
protect users from online threats and malicious activities.
