Assignment:

You will be provided with three (3) job interview scripts:


1. One-on-one interview
2. Panel interview
3. Group interview

The class will be divided into groups. Each group will record a video for each type of
interview, following the provided script. Please observe proper interview protocols as
discussed in class. Submit the recorded videos by the next class meeting.
ONE-ON-ONE INTERVIEW

Setting: A small, cozy office. The interviewer is a seasoned agricultural professional.


The interviewee is a recent graduate with a degree in Agriculture.

[SCENE START]

Interviewer: Good morning, (name of interviewee). Please have a seat.

Interviewee: Thank you, Mr./Ms. (name of interviewer). It's a pleasure to meet you.

Interviewer: I've been looking forward to this. So, tell me a bit about yourself. Why are
you interested in an agricultural career?

Interviewee: Well, I've always had a passion for the outdoors and a deep respect for
nature. Growing up on a farm, I learned firsthand the importance of sustainable
agriculture. I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to the industry and make a
positive impact on our environment.

Interviewer: That's wonderful. You mentioned sustainability. What are some of the
sustainable practices you've learned about or implemented?

Interviewee: I've studied various sustainable farming techniques, including crop


rotation, cover cropping, and precision agriculture. I've also volunteered at a local
organic farm, where I gained practical experience in organic farming methods.

Interviewer: That's impressive. Can you tell me about a time when you faced a
challenge in your studies or work experience and how you overcame it?

Interviewee: Certainly. During my internship at a research facility, I encountered a


technical issue with a piece of equipment. I was initially frustrated, but I didn't give up. I
consulted with my supervisor and researched the problem online. Eventually, I was able
to troubleshoot the issue and get the equipment working again.

Interviewer: That's great to hear. How do you see yourself contributing to our team
here at the Department of Agriculture?

Interviewee: I believe my strong technical skills, combined with my passion for

sits across from them.

Interviewee: Some of the most pressing challenges include climate change, food

marketing. I'm particularly interested in the agriculture sector because of its growing
importance and the opportunities for innovative campaigns.

Interviewer 1: That's great to hear. Now, let's talk about some of the challenges facing
agriculture today. What do you think are the biggest issues facing farmers and the
industry as a whole?

Interviewee 1: I believe climate change is one of the most pressing challenges.


Extreme weather events, such as droughts and floods, can have a devastating impact
on crops and livestock.

Interviewee 2: I'd also add the rising cost of inputs, like fertilizers and pesticides. It's
getting harder and harder for farmers to make a profit.

Interviewee 3: From a marketing perspective, I think one of the biggest challenges is


connecting consumers with the stories behind the food they eat. Many people are
interested in sustainable and ethical food practices, but they don't always know where to
find it.

Interviewer 2: That's a good point. How do you think technology can help address
some of these challenges?
