Instructions: Answer the following questions in your own words in the light of the reading
comprehension ‘How to be happy’. Plagiarized work is not acceptable. Do not change the font of
the text. Type your answer on the same word document and get the print for submission.

Q1. What do you do to be happy? [5 marks]

Answer: I love poetry and writing poetry makes me happy. It allows me to express my feelings
and unleashes my creativity. Our surrounding people heckle us but my pen and paper never
restrict me to express my feelings. I write my thoughts on the paper with help of my pen.
Sometimes your own friends make fun of your flaws but my pen and my paper are my secret-
keeper. They help me to relieve my stress and help to release it in the form of words. Some
people say that poetry is source of sadness but I think if poetry include clear goals, it helps to
motivate people. Most of the great poets like (Allama Iqbal, Bullah Shah) wrote Islamic and
motivational poems to guide people. They used their poetry as a powerful tool to teach people.

Q2. Which of the advice in the text do you think is good advice and why? [5 marks]

Answer: According to me, the advice of having good relationships is good to stay happy. Having
love for human companionship is an important factor to the life. As since my childhood, I have
needed the love of my parents and the affection of my brothers and sisters. In a wider circle, the

interest of my uncles and aunts and the companionship of friends has all contributed to my
happiness. Those who have no good relations feel themselves alone that makes them sad because
you need a supporting role in every moment of your life. Instead, family makes memories, it
supports at the time of need, reduces your anxiety and your friends prevent isolation and reduce
your stress. I am surrounded by wealth of friendship and of loving family. That’s why I think
having good relationships is essential for happy life.
