Blood Bank Management System

 Rationale:-

Blood Bank and Donor Management system is a web based application on PHP
language and Mysql database. The purpose of this project was to develop a blood
donor management information system to assist in the management of blood
donor records and blood group records. And this project also helpful for
searching blood donor according to location and blood group. This project
includes mainly two modules i.e. admin and visitor. The current system is manual
and it is time-consuming. It is also cost-ineffective, and the average return is low
and diminishing.
In this project, there are two types of login. i.e Admin and User. After Logging in
as a user, he/she can View dashboard, request for blood and donate blood. Admin
has full control of the system, admin can Add as well as manage State, City,
Members. And also from the admin panel, he/she can maintain Active and Non-
active donors. In short, The system helps to donate & request blood online,
manage donors and request blood details. The design of this project is simple and
the user won’t find it difficult to understand, use and navigate

 Actual Methodology Followed:

1. Discussed Microproject topic with Subject Teacher.

2. Selected Project topic.

3. Collected information about project.

4. Collected requirements necessary for Project.

5. Created proposal of Project.

6. Created report of Project.

7. Successfully completed the project.

 Future Scope

In view of the findings, the researchers recommend that implementation of online blood bank
management system. Further, the researchers recommend that further studies on how online
blood bank management system enhances blood transfusion safety can be undertaken to
strengthen this project’s findings. Lastly, this project recommends that the system can be
expanded by allowing donors to register online and be a system user, and these donors will
be informed about the planned blood donation activities through the online system.

 Purpose

This project software is designed to handle the daily transactions of the blood bank and
search the details when required. It also helps to register the details of the donors, blood
collection details as well as blood issued reports. It also suits the necessities of all the blood
bank requirements in the future.

 Conclusion:-

In conclusion, while blood bank management systems offer numerous benefits such as
efficient blood inventory management and streamlined donor/patient data tracking,
they also present several challenges. These challenges include technical issues, security
concerns, high implementation costs, training requirements, integration challenges,
dependency on technology, and potential resistance to user adoption. Despite these
drawbacks, with careful planning, robust system design, and ongoing support, blood
bank management systems can greatly enhance the operations of blood banks and
contribute to improved healthcare outcomes.
