goal is to analyze their current decision-making processes and propose recommendations to
improve them using Management Information Systems (MIS) tools and techniques.

Assignment Tasks:

1. Company Selection: Choose a local business or organization that you are interested in
consulting for. This could be a small business, non-profit, or government agency.
2. Data Collection: Gather information about the company's decision-making processes
through interviews, surveys, and observation. Pay attention to the following:

3. Problem Identification: Identify the key challenges and inefficiencies in the company's
decision-making process.
4. MIS Analysis: Analyze how MIS tools and techniques can be applied to address these
challenges. Consider the following:
o Data Warehousing and Data Mining: How can data warehousing and data
mining be used to extract valuable insights from the company's data?
o Business Intelligence Tools: What business intelligence tools can be used to
provide real-time information and analytics?
o Decision Support Systems: How can decision support systems be designed to
assist in complex decision-making tasks?

5. Recommendations: Develop a set of recommendations to improve the company's
decision-making process using MIS. These recommendations should be specific,
actionable, and aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
