directions.

Classroom Scavenger Hunt

 What you will need: Paper, pencils


 Create a list of items or areas in the classroom for students
to find. This helps them to get familiar with their new
environment.

GRADE 4-6 ACTIVITY

Two Truths and a Lie


 What you will need: Paper, pencils
 This fun first-day-of-school activity asks kids to get creative and imagine unique
lies and specific truths. You can have them write it down and read it out loud for
the entire class to guess.
Hot Potato

 What you will need: ball, music


 Pass a ball around while music plays; when the music stops, the student holding
the ball shares something about themselves.
 These activities can help students feel more comfortable and excited about the
new school year while fostering a sense of community and belonging.

For Junior and Senior High School

All About Me Bag


 This is a simple game in which participants must put their hands inside a bag to
feel an object inside. Then participants must describe how the object feels using
one word that the participants have not said.

Find a Friend Bingo

 What will you need: Bingo Card, Pen


 In this game, each participant or student receives a bingo card with different traits
or characteristics written in each square.
 The goal is to interact with other guests and find someone who matches each trait
on the card.

Thanks for the Compliments

 What will you need: Paper, pen/ pentel pen


 Each student has a piece of paper taped to their back (they wrote their name first),
and then the students go around the room writing something nice about each
other.
 After 10- 15 minutes, the students stop and help each other pull off their paper.
 They tape it onto the corner of their desk and leave it there the rest of the day.
