ABSTRACT
Nowadays the life of the people is different. People feel uncomfortable and time consuming for
going to crowded market. So, E-Shopping is a boom as it saves lot of time. Online shopping
is a process whereby consumers directly buy goods, services etc. from a seller without an
intermediary service over the internet. Shoppers can visit web stores from the comfort of their
house and shop as by sitting in front of the computer. Online stores are usually available 24
hours a day and many consumers have internet access both at work and at home. One of the most
enticing factors about online shopping, particularly during holiday season is, it alleviates the need
to wait in long lines or search from a store for a particular item. Variety of goods are available in
online. So the researcher want to know the preference of the consumers. So fifty respondents were
met and data were collected regarding their preference towards shopping online.

CHAPTER1
INTRODUCTION
E-Commerce is digitally enabled commercial transactions between and among organizations and
individuals. Digitally enabled means, for the most part, transactions that occur over the Internet
and World Wide Web (WWW). E-Commerce is a modern business methodology that addresses
the needs of organizations, merchants, and consumers to cut or reduce costs while improving the
quality of goods and services and increasing the speed of service delivery. Electronic commerce
can take several forms depending on the degree of digitization (the transformation from physical
to digital) involved. The degree or digitization can relate to:

• The product/service sold


• The process
• The delivery agent (for intermediary).

1.1Introduction to Organization
Jeevee is Nepal’s fastest growing e-commerce with a niche in babycare, beauty and skincare. We
seek to make the e-commerce industry of Nepal affordable, accessible and trustworthy with
innovative technology, nationwide deliveries, standardized shipping rates and quality check on all
products. Initially established in 2019 with the aim of digitizing the healthcare sector, Jeevee
moved towards setting up as an online hub not just for health but baby and beauty products as
well.
Undeniably, bringing affordable, quality healthcare to the masses with just one tap is what
primarily Jeevee aims at.Alongside, Jeevee slowly stretched its wings to an online marketplace
platform and aimed to personify itself as Nepal’s largest e-commerce in health, Baby, and
beauty categories.

Jeevee has created a space for young, bright, like-minded individuals to work in synergy and we
will continue to do so. At Jeevee, you can expect a hands-on approach; an environment where you

Jeeveenepal.com is Nepal’s No.1 Health, Baby and Beauty Store which is initially established in
2019. Its aim is to provide products and service through both online method and offline method.
And today many online businesses have established for providing different services. So, in order
to differentiate itself from other online business and to grab the opportunity they provide many

A mission statement defines the organization’s business, its objectives, and how it will reach these
objectives. A vision statement details where the organization aspires to go.

Jeevee seek to make the e-commerce industry of Nepal affordable, accessible and trustworthy with
innovative technology, nationwide deliveries, standardized shipping rates and quality check on all
products.They aim to provide the best of the products and brands at the most reasonable prices
with the unforgettable online shopping experience, and prompt customer service. And to bring
change in standards of society with the flexibility of online shopping.

Jeevee slowly stretched its wings to an online marketplace platform and aimed to personify itself
as Nepal’s largest e-commerce in health, Baby, and beauty categories.

• Structure of an organization is the task allocation design built inside the organization.
Jeevee Nepal has a distributed structure with different hierarchy level and departments that
is to say HR, Customer Service, Logistics, Shipping, Finance, IT, Operations, Marketing
and Merchandising. From the top of the hierarchy and the authority is passed down to the
department heads and their subordinates.

ANALYSIS OF ORGANIZATIONS OBJECTIVES
2.1 Ecommerce Business Model
Business model is required by each and every business doesn’t matter whether it is online or offline
business. It is a set of activities which are created to capture the market. The aim of
having business model is not only for buying and selling of the product but also how to
provide services to its customers. E-commerce business model is used for doing business using
electronic medium and internet.

Jeevee uses B2C model

B2C
The B2C model involves transactions between business organizations and consumers. It applies to
any business organization that sells its products or services to consumers over the Internet. These
sites display product information in an online catalog and store it in a database. The B2C model

also includes services online banking, travel services, and health information and many more as
shown in figure below:

The improvements and efficiency in operation caused by implementing B2C business model by
jeevee.com or we can say the reasons for implementing B2C e-commerce business are the
advantage of reaching more customers, merchandising optimization, increased sales, better data
analytics, reduced overhead costs, Creation of detailed customer profiles etc.

Ecommerce infrastructure refers to all the facilities and tools needed to run your ecommerce
business. This can include the hardware, software, network, and services that support your
operations from start to finish. This kind of software includes project management platforms, team
collaboration tools, and a free CRM. Jeevee Nepal use above infrastructures in order to

ascertain their presence over the internet and conduct their e-commerce activities.

2.3Electronic Data Interchange Techniques used by Organization


Electronic Data Interchange is the computer-to-computer exchange of business data and
documents between companies using standard formats recognized both nationally and
internationally. The information used in EDI is organized according to a specified format set by

both companies participating in the data exchange. The various EDI techniques used by JeeVee
Nepal are as follows:

Order Processing:Jeevee receives a large number of orders from customers. . Using EDI, these
orders can be automatically integrated into the company's order processing system. This
reduces manual data entry, minimizes errors, and speeds up the fulfillment process.

• Inventory Management: Jeevee uses EDI to share real-time inventory levels with suppliers and
partners. This helps in maintaining optimal stock levels, preventing stockouts, and ensuring timely
replenishments.

• Shipping and Logistics: EDI facilitates Jeevee to share shipping and tracking information with
customers. This provides transparency in the shipping process and allows customers to track their
orders in real-time.

• Invoicing and Payments: Electronic invoices to customers via EDI, reducing the time it takes to
process payments and improving cash flow after the order placing is completed.

• Catalog Updates: EDI enables Jeevee to update product catalogs, including prices and
availability, in real time. This ensures that customers always see accurate and up-to-date
information. Jeevee provides nine categories of products that are updated with every change that
occurs.

• Returns and Exchanges: Using EDI, Jeevee can streamline the returns and exchanges process
by automating the communication between the customer, the e-commerce platform, and the
warehouse.

• Supply Chain Management: EDI facilitates seamless communication between suppliers,


manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, enabling efficient order processing, inventory
management, and demand forecasting. Purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices, and other
supply chain documents can be exchanged electronically, reducing processing times and errors.

By utilizing EDI, Jeevee can streamline its operations, enhance customer experiences, and
establish more efficient and accurate communication with partners, suppliers, and customers. It
plays a pivotal role in modernizing and optimizing the complex web of interactions that
characterize the e-commerce landscape.

2.4Security used By Organization
In jeevee.com all the data and information provided by the customers are secure and taken in
confidentiality in their business software. From creating jeevee.com account to making purchase
all that information provided are taken in full security. The level of security is high so that
the information of the customer passes through different methods like:

• Firewalls
• Antivirus software
• PKI services
• Managed Detection and Response Service ( MDR )
• Penetration testing

Security tools can be explained as:

• Log in account: To use any features of the website and mobile application, one must setus
an account with Jeevee and provide certain information such as name, gender, blood group,
NMC no, email address, account password, phone numbers, billing address etc.
• Password scheme: Log in account with password is necessary to access the website or
mobile application.
• Biometrics (fingerprint scanning): Jeevee also provides fingerprint scanning facilities
to access one’s account easily.
• Secure Socket Layer (SSL): Jeevee encrypts the information by using 256-bit SSL
encryption technology before being sent over the internet.
• Firewalls: Jeevee uses different combination of firewalls to prevent unauthorized access
to or from a private network. Firewalls such as packet filters, application
gateways, circuit level gateways and stateful inspection firewall are used.
• Anti-virus applications: Anti-virus software such as Avast anti-virus, Avira anti-
virus,Nortan anti-virus, Kaspersky etc. are installed on an individual computing
device,gateway server or dedicated network appliance to prevent, detect and remediate
malware infections on computing devices and IT systems.

• Digital certificates: Digital certificate is basically the electronic counterparts to driver
licenses, passports and membership cards which is provided to verified entity
by certificate authority (CA). Jeevee is authentic electronic retail store since it has digital
certificate to validate it.
• Managed Detection and Response service (MDR): MDR is an advanced security
services that provides threat hunting, threat intelligence, security monitoring, incident
analysis and incident response.

in search engine results pages (SERPs). The goal is to increase organic (unpaid) traffic to

activities. It is crucial for e-business to get a grasp on consumer attitude, shopping habits, and
demographic changes. The effect of social factors imposed within an organization can be analyzed
through following SWOT information;

use the service.
• Positive review build trust, while negative ones can highlight potential issues, allowing
users to make informed decisions.

The legal environment includes the laws and regulations of a state. Legal factor determine the
method by which products can be promoted and sold online.

• Implementing effective dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Legal factors provide the framework for creating flexible and adaptable contractual
arrangements.
2. Weaknesses
• Legal factors may not provide sufficient protection against novel risks emerging legal
challenges.
• Increased awareness and advocacy for consumer rights may result in legal challenges.
3. Opportunities
• Demonstrating compliance with relevant laws and regulations creates trust among
users, assuring them that the platform prioritizes legal and ethical standards.

The economic policy, economic trends, money supply, market and trade cycle etc. influence the
operation of organization. The frequent changes in national economy poses several good and bad
effects as well. The economy is the foundation of all businesses. In detail the positive and negative
effect of national economy can be discussed in the form of following SWOT analysis

1. Strength
• A significant market share indicates that Baby Shop Nepal has successfully positioned
itself within its industry, contributing to its economic strength.
2. Weakness
• Intense competition and market saturation can lead to pricing wars and reduced profit
margins, potentially impacting JeeVee Nepal’s economic standings.
3. Opportunities
• Invest in the development and improvement of e-commerce infrastructure, including
website and mobile app enhancements to provide a seamless and user-friendly
shopping experience.
4. Threats
• Economic recessions or downturns can lead to reduced consumer spending, impacting
Baby Shop Nepal’s revenue and profit.
• Fierce competition within the e-commerce sector can lead to price wars, reduced profits
margins, and challenges in acquiring and retaining customers.

Political Factors

Political factors include the external constraints linked to governmental activities and political
conditions that affect a business' area of operation. External constraints are factors that affect
businesses and are beyond their control. They include factors such as taxation, political stability,
and employment laws. The analysis of political factors can be done as:

• Political factors that promote fair competition and prevent monopolistic practices.
2. Weaknesses:
• Political factors can contribute to complex regulatory environment, with varying rules

to the growth of the overall industry.

• Sudden policy changes by governments can impact the business models of online
shopping platforms.

Technical Factors

These factors encompass the technological infrastructure, features, and capabilities that contribute
to the platforms’ functionality and user experiences.

• Advanced technical capabilities allow the implementation of dynamic pricing
algorithms, enabling online shopping platforms to adjust prices based on factors such
as demand, availability, and users.

confusion among users.
