Paragraph Form: A child’s imagination is limitless and reading is one of the starting points of their creativity. They
should be exposed to different genres as early as possible to widen their academic-related skills and influence those
around them about the benefits of reading. Creating a brochure that tells their personal learnings and experiences
can create a huge impact to non-readers. It should contain an appealing and striking overall content/appearance to
catch the interest of the audience. The brochure will be assessed based on the following criteria: Content,
Organization, Language, and Presentation.
Goal: You will create a brochure that informs people about the benefits of reading books and how it
can enrich their personal lives.
Role: You are a student who loves reading books and wants to share your passion with others.
Audience: You are writing for your classmates, teachers, and parents who may not be avid readers or
may not have access to many books.
Situation: You have learned about different genres of literature, such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry,
drama, etc. You have also watched some videos that show how reading books can improve your
vocabulary, creativity, critical thinking, empathy, and emotional well-being. You want to use this
information to persuade your audience to read more books and enjoy them.
Product/Performance:You will create a brochure that contains the following elements: A catchy title
and a slogan that captures the main message of your brochure. An introduction that explains why
reading books is important and beneficial for personal growth. A body that provides examples of
different genres of literature and how they can appeal to different interests and preferences of your
audience. You should also include some personal anecdotes or testimonials that show how reading
books has influenced your life or the lives of others positively. A conclusion that summarizes the
main points of your brochure and encourages your audience to take action by reading more books or
joining a book club. A list of sources that you used to gather information for your brochure.
