Useful hints

By default, the SAPGUI Theme in 8.00 version is “Quartz Theme,” which changes entire
visual design of the application.

However, if you are familiar to older themes like “SAP Signature Theme” then you can
change the theme settings in the SAPGUI Options.

 Open SAPGUI Options and under Visual Design  Theme Settings

 Select the desired theme in the drop-down menu on the right
 Click on “Apply” and on “OK” buttons to confirm your changes in SAPGUI options

Since the introduction of the SAPUILandscape.xml file as successor of the saplogon.ini,

the NON-SSO entries of SAP systems are removed*, due to sharpening Siemens
cybersecurity regulations.

*For some SAP systems the NON-SSO entries will be still available as exceptions.

Please, be aware: currently there is a technical conflict between two

subcomponents of SAPGUI 8.00 PL6 package, namely SAP Business Client 8.00 and SAP
Logon.

Scenario: as soon as SAP Business Client 8.00 session is initiated and

after a while this session is terminated, in the following SAP Logon
session, the local favourites and shortcuts in SAP Logon may be lost.

Unfortunately, this technical issue can currently not be resolved within

the SAPGUI 8.00 PL6 package.

Therefore, we kindly asking you to repopulate your Favorites and

Shortcuts in SAP Logon again.

In the operating system Windows 11, there is no path

StartBusiness Applications Refresh Settings

available.

To process instruction steps mentioned on page 5 above, please search in

a Search Box for “Refresh Settings” instead and hit on Refresh Settings
afterwards.
