Hi Michael
I hope you are feeling well. I am glad to know that you are planning your first visit to
Chiclayo, Peru. As your local friend, I am pleased to share with you some of the places
to visit in our vibrant city. Chiclayo is a fascinating mix of history, culture and culinary
delights. Among these are many places such as churches, universities, shopping malls,
among which the Parque Principal de Chiclayo stands out, nearby is the Mercado
Modelo, it is perfect for shopping.
There are also museums such as Sipán, an incredible art collection. There are admirable
ceramics, gold jewelry and ancient textiles from the Moche, Lambayeque and Chimú
cultures. The museum is between the Banco de la Nación and the BCP Agent.
There are many places where you can taste typical dishes such as ceviche.
We also have many universities, such as the Technological University of Peru, next to
the UTP is the Mall Aventura Chiclayo, opposite is the Regional Hospital and behind is
the Catholic University Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo.
