Your application under Express Entry will consist of 2 stages:

Stage 1: Express Entry profile:


Once we have received the required documents set out in this document guide, we
will assess your eligibility and submit your express entry profile using our CIC
account, should you be eligible.

Stage 2: Application under the Federal Skilled Worker program:


Should your profile be submitted to the pool of eligible candidates, IRCC will:
 access your CRS score based on the information provided in the profile
 invite you to apply for permanent residency if you meet the cut off score
and requirements of the draw.

STAGE 1: EXPRESS ENTRY PROFILE


You will need to provide the following:

1. Completed Client Information Form (CIF) – page 1&2


2. Language test results – page 2
3. Education Credential Assessment Report (ECA) – page 3, 4 &5
4. Passport Copies – page 5

 The Canadim form provides us with all the essential information we need to know about
your file to best advise you on how to proceed. Please complete this to the best of your
ability.

 Once submitted, your case manager will automatically receive a copy of your completed
CIF.

Language test results:

Both the main applicant and spouse (if applicable) must sit for the language exam.
Please note that the spouse is not required to provide their language test results,
however, it is preferred to increase the scores and it allows us to assess the better
main applicant.

To qualify, you need at least CLB 7 or NCLC 7 in all four language areas for one
official language. To earn points for the second official language, you must achieve
at least CLB 5 or NCLC 5 in all four language areas. We recommend obtaining CLB
level 9 to obtain higher scores.

If English is your preferred language, please take one of the following approved
tests:

CELPIP: Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program

 You must take the CELPIP-General test.

IELTS: International English Language Testing System

 You must take the IELTS General Training option.

 IRCC doesn’t accept IELTS One Skill Retake for Express Entry

PTE Core: Pearson Test of English

 You must take the PTE Core option

If French is your preferred language, please take one of the following approved
tests:

TEF Canada: Test d’évaluation de français

TCF Canada: Test de connaissance du français

Based on your test results, you can assess your level in each of the following
abilities:

 reading

 writing

 listening

 speaking

Education Credential Assessment Report:

In order to secure the highest possible ranking scores, we recommend that both
the main applicant and spouse (where applicable) have all post-secondary
education assessed by one of the following bodies:

For physicians and pharmacists only:

 Medical Council of Canada

If you are a specialist physician or general practitioner/family
physician, you MUST have your ECA issued by the Medical
Council of Canada.

 Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada

pharmacist. if you need a license to practice (for example, providing
patient care in a community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, long term
care facility or other practice settings) the Pharmacy Examining
Board of Canada (PEBC) must do your ECA;

o if you are in a position where you do not need a license


(organizations such as the pharmaceutical industry and government
which require a pharmacy degree because of the education or skill set
but may not require a license to practice pharmacy), you can
have your credentials assessed by one of the other
designated ECA organizations. Contact the regulatory authority
in the province where you plan to live to find out if you need a
license to practice your intended occupation.

For Architects only:

 Individuals intending to apply as an Architect must have an assessment


from the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB).

Passports:

You will need to include copies of the bio pages in your passport that show the
passport number, date of issue, expiry date, photo, name, and place of birth for
main applicant and spouse and dependent children (if applicable).

Settlement Funds:

To be eligible for Express Entry, candidates must also show that they have
sufficient funds to settle in Canada. Proof of funds such as bank statements, is not
required for stage 1. Should your profile receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for
Permanent Residency, stage 2 documents will be required. Your case manager will
advise you accordingly.

The minimum amount of funds required based on your family size, can be seen

Admissibility:

Certain individuals are prohibited from entering Canada; they are considered
"inadmissible" according to Canadian immigration law.

 Criminal inadmissibility:
o Whether you, your spouse or dependents have ever been detained,
arrested, jailed or convicted of an offence in any country.

 Medical inadmissibility:
o Whether you, your spouse or dependents have a medical condition.

Misrepresentation involves providing information that is false, deceptive, or


incomplete, and has the potential to affect the application of immigration law to
your situation. We highly advise to be truthful in providing your information to the
best of your ability.
