JOB DESCRIPTION

A. Role Objective
Responsible for assisting manufacturing operations for the assigned
factories in alignment with the overall manufacturing and business
strategy to achieve growth and profitability of the business.

B. Primary Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities

 Provide inputs to the Factory Head to develop the manufacturing


strategy for the respective factory in line with MGD business
strategy.
 Assist the factory head in overseeing and managing all factory
operations, ensuring efficient production processes, and achieving
production targets.
 Understand the inventory forecasts by gathering the required
information from Retail, Marketing, Merchandising and SCM
Heads and oversee production planning to fulfil product demands
in the assigned region
 Contribute to the development and implementation of
manufacturing strategies aligned with the overall business
strategy and objectives.
 Assist in the implementation of centrally defined policies,
guidelines, and standard operating procedures within the
assigned region in order to drive standardization in factory
operations.
 Consult with team members to discuss issues, coordinate
activities, or solve problems in order to facilitate execution
excellence.
 Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports as required
by manufacturing head.
 Supervise and coordinate the work of factory staff, including
production supervisors and workers.
 Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to
quality standards, safety regulations, and production schedules.
 Assist in supervising the supply of raw materials and other
consumables in the manufacturing unit.
 Supervise the execution of logistical guidelines to ensure on time
delivery of the products to the SCM
 Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction,
and productivity enhancement.
 Assist in reviewing the cost of goods sold (COGS) in the market on a
quarterly basis for the assigned region.
 Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports as required
by manufacturing head
 Assist in resource planning, including workforce planning,
equipment utilization, and raw material inventory management.
 Promote and enforce a safe working environment by adhering to
occupational health and safety regulations.
 Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal
stakeholders, such as supply chain, sales team to ensure smooth
operations and alignment with overall business goals.
 Assist in managing unforeseen events, production disruptions, or
emergencies effectively.
 Collaborate with the factory head to develop contingency plans
and take appropriate actions to minimize operational impacts.

Internal process

 Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the Standard
Operating Procedures in the section.
 Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports as & when required within
specified time period.

People development
 Continuously strive for self-development by actively seeking
opportunities for growth.
 Ensure adherence to timelines for completion of performance
appraisal for self.
 Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and
completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self.
Salary Package – 4 LPA to 5 LPA
