intelligent systems that can mimic human intelligence and their abilities to make
decisions.
S/Q. 2: Explain how a 3D hologram displays a 3D image.
Ans: A 3D hologram works by displaying products, objects and animated sequences
three dimensionally that floats completely in space.
S/Q. 3: What is meant by biometrics
Ans: Biometrics is the measurement of the unique physical characteristics such as
finger prints and facial recognition. It is used to verify an individual identity in high
security places such as airports etc.
S/Q. 4: What is an open-source software?
Ans: Open-source software is a code designed to be used modified and distributed
by the public E.g. Linux operating system and Mozilla Firefox web browser etc.

There are different types of ports e.g. USB, HDMI, Display port etc.
L/Q. 1: What is robotics? Describe its various types
Ans: Robotics is a branch of technology that combine engineering and computer
science. Robotics aims to design systems that automate human tasks and to assist
them. Ther are various types of robots.
1. Pre-Programmed robots: These robots operate in a controlled environment
where they do simple and monotonous tasks. E.g. Assembly line robots.
2. Humanoid robots: These robots resemble humans and mimic their
behaviors. They perform activities similar to humans such as running,
carrying objects etc.
3. Autonomous robots: These robots operate in open environment and
perform tasks that do not require human supervision e.g. NASA Mars Rover.
4. Tele-operated robots: They are semi-autonomous and use wireless networks
to enable humans’ control from a safe distance e.g. drone
5. Augmenting robot: These robots enhance current human capabilities or
replace the capabilities that human have lost. E.g. prosthetic arm
L/Q. 2: Explain in what ways robotics are useful for humans
Ans: Robotics is useful in many ways
1. They help to perform complex tasks
2. They can automate various tasks without exhausting.

• AR is 25% virtual and 75% real.
• It is used to enhance both real and virtual worlds.
Virtual Reality (Augmented Reality (AR):
AR combines the physical world with R):
• (VR) is a computer-generated environment with scenes and objects that
appear to be real.
• VR is a completely immersive virtual environment.
