7.3.2. Testing and Commissioning of the System

- Testing and commissioning will be done as per specifications for testing and
commissioning of the system:

A. Check for installation of lighting control panels at site.

B. Check for installation of devices in the panel and in the field.
C. Check the wiring and termination of the bus cable for all the system devices.
D. Check the wiring and termination of the circuits in the lighting control panel.
E. Manually override each circuit using the override ‘ON-OFF’ switch provided for
each circuit in
The relay output module.
F. Test the respective lighting circuits to be ‘ON’ as per the LCP and Panel board
Load Schedule.
G. Switch ‘ON’ the power supply to the lighting control panel with system
devices.
H. Check for communication of all devices with the system devices panel.
I. Download the application software together with set points, parameters, etc.
in each of the devices via a notebook PC connected to the RS 232 adaptor.
J. Program the controller timer groups as per consultant requirements for
standalone operation of the lighting control system.
K. Test the software loops as per programmed parameters.
L. Through the Controller ‘switch ON’ individual groups as programmed and
track that the respective programmed circuits are turned ON.
M. Switch ‘ON & OFF’ the individual gang of the LV Push Button Switches &
check that the respective programmed circuits are switched ‘ON & OFF’
accordingly.
N. Through the motion sensor check for ‘switch ON’ telegram in case of
movement detection and check that the respective programmed circuits are
turned ‘ON’, then turned ‘OFF’ after the time delay.
O. Make changes, if required to the software loops or parameters.
P. Edit the programmed Timer and check for the response of the individual
devices and the individual circuits.
Q. Remove the communication bus cable and check for the response of the
individual devices.
R. Switch ‘OFF’ the power supply to the Control panel and test that the circuits
remain in their fail-safe - mode (ON/OFF/As it is).
