Position Overview:

Teqplay is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join
our dynamic team, focusing on solving complex technical challenges within the
maritime domain. This role demands a deep understanding of backend technologies,
a passion for innovation, and the ability to work on mission-critical systems that
ensure the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of maritime operations.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and
maintaining robust backend systems that support a wide range of maritime
applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including
frontend developers, data engineers, BI Analysts and domain experts, to deliver
high-quality solutions that meet the unique needs of the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for a senior back-end developer who is capable and
dedicated to:
● Architect and implement scalable backend solutions using modern
technologies.
● work on data-intense cloud-based solutions with focus on scalability
● convert user stories into technical solutions
● Optimize system performance and reliability to handle large-scale data
processing and real-time analytics. (e.g. real-time performance)
● Ensure the security and integrity of data across all backend systems.
● realize pragmatic solutions for real world challenges
● Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
and improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You have at least 8 years experience and passion for development and data.
● Proven experience in backend development, with a strong focus on complex
technical challenges.
● Proficiency in programming languages such as Kotlin, Spring, Java and
techniques like GIT, Gradle, CircleCI, NATS, RabbitMQ, REST/JSON
● Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies
(e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
● Strong understanding of database management systems, both SQL and
NoSQL.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling technical
issues.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high level of
proficiency in English.
