SAFETY SECTION

GENERAL SAFETY

1. Be sure that all codes have been met that apply to:
• Electrical service to the machine
• Pneumatic services lines to the machine

2. Be sure machine is electrically grounded.

3. Do not operate the machine without all guards and covers in position.

4. Remove or fasten loose articles of clothing. Confine long hair.

5. Remove jewelry such as finger rings, watches, bracelets, etc.

6. Use safety face shield, goggles or glasses, and other personal safety equipment
as required. Use ear plugs or sound barriers as required.

7. Keep the floor around the machine clean and free from scraps, sawdust, chips,
oil or grease to minimize danger of slipping.

8. Stop machine before making adjustments, repairs or cleaning.

9. Never enter or reach into the Hoist Bin area (also sometimes called elevator
area-or-lift area) unless:
• Power is OFF to Hoist
• Power is OFF to Pallet Conveyor
• Hoist is in DOWN position

10.Use a retrieval rake (or similar) to clear debris from hoist bin area.

11.Approach ALL pallet conveyors as if they may start automatically at any time.

12.Approach ALL single line or mass conveyors as though they may start
automatically at any time.
