used

3. (a) The schoool hall has 15 chairs in the first row, Each of the row behind it has 3
chairs more than the row in front of it. If there are 150 rows of chairs, what is the
capacity of the school hall?
( b ) Mr Mbizo in Uganda changed shillings Tsh. 4,800,000/= into Uganda shillings
( Ush ) at rate of Tsh 1 = Ush 2. He spent Ush 6,000,000/= and then he changed the
rest into Tsh at rate of Tsh. 1 = Ush. 2.5 , How much Tanzania shillings did Mr
Mbizo receive?

( b ) A company produces two types of ornaments A and B that requires gold
and silver, Each unit of type A require 4 grams of silver and 8 grams of gold. Type
B require 8 grams of silver and 4 grams of gold. The company has only 400 grams of
silver and 640 grams of gold. Each unit of type A brings a profit of 1800 Tshs and
each unit of type B brings a loss of 1600 Tsh.
i. List the linear programming inequalities to maximize profit
