Hi everyone! Thanks for all your thoughts on my previous blog post. I loved reading all your
comments. I’ve got some great news! My friend, Alice, and I have just booked our summer
holiday.
We’re going to Mexico to take part in a coastal conservation volunteer programme. We’re
leaving on the 1st August and we’re going to stay there for three weeks! I think it’ll be an
unforgettable experience. We arrive at Guadalajara International Airport early in the morning
and then we are going to leave for the town of Guyutlán by bus. It’s about a four-hour drive from
the airport. However, I don’t mind as we’ll be able to look at the view on our way there.
During the programme, we are going to help with the conservation of the sea turtles and
crocodiles. We’re going to help protect the turtle nests and study the behaviour of other wildlife.
But that’s not all! We’re also going to have two hours of Spanish lessons every day. It’s going to
be hard work! At the weekends, we don’t have to work and can enjoy ourselves at the beach. I
can’t wait! I will tell you all about it when I get home since there isn’t any Wi-Fi there and I’m not
going to take my smartphone or tablet with me. What are your plans for this summer? Let me
know in the comments below.
