    1. Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the
    components, if necessary.

    2. Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

    3. Use Tooling (A) (not shown) in order to install bushing assembly (34) in arm assembly (25).

    4. Position pulley shaft (33) in arm assembly (25) so that the groove in pulley shaft (33) is in
    alignment with the hole in arm assembly (25). Use a suitable hydraulic press and Tooling (A)
    (not shown) in order to install pulley shaft (33) on arm assembly (25).

    5. Install dowel (32) in order to hold pulley shaft (33) in arm assembly (25).

    6. Install ball bearing (27) in tightener pulley (31). Use Tooling (B) in order to install lip seal (26)
    in tightener pulley (31). Lip seal (26) must be installed, as shown.

    7. Install tightener pulley (31) on arm assembly (25).

    8. Install spacer (28). Fill the cavity between the spacer (28) and the tightener pulley (31) with
    Tooling (D). Install retainer ring (29) and ball bearing (30).

    9. Install hard washer (23) and bolt (22) in order to hold the ball bearings in position.

    10. Install gasket (21), pulley cover (20), and four bolts (19).

    11. Install spring (14) on arm assembly (4). Use a suitable press to install tightener shaft (13).
    Install the dowel pin in order to retain shaft (13) in arm assembly (4).

    12. Install spacer (12), as shown. Place fan drive pulley (11) on the arm assembly.

    13. Use Tooling (A) (not shown) to install lip seal (18) in adapter (7). Lip seal (18) must be
    installed, as shown. Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

    14. Install ball bearing (17) and spacer (16) in fan pulley hub (7). Fill the cavity between the
    spacer (16) and the fan pulley hub (7) with Tooling (D). Install ball bearing (15).

    15. Position fan pulley hub (7) on the fan drive pulley. Install retaining washer (9). Apply Tooling
    (C) to bolts (8) and install bolts (8). Install O-ring seal (10).

    16. Position fan adapter (5) on fan pulley hub (7). Install the bolts and six full nuts (6).

    17. Position belt tightener (2) on arm assembly (4). Install clevis pin (3) that holds the spring to
    belt tightener (2).

    18. Install bolt (1), the hard washer, and the retainer plate that holds belt tightener (2) on arm
    assembly (4).

    End By:

    a. Install the fan drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Install".
