- Impromptu Speech: 8:30 – 9:00 am
- Vocal Solo: 9:00 – 10:30 am
- Vocal Duet: 10:30 – 11:00 am
- Dance Sports: 11: 00 – 11:30 am
- Hiphop Dance: 11:30 – 12:00 pm
- Modern Dance: 1:00 – 2:00 pm
- Cheer Dance: 2:00 – 3:00 pm

Room M109 Events:


- Extemporaneous Speech: 9:00 – 10 am
- Declamation: 10:00 – 11:00 am

Public Library Event:


- Chess Tournament: 9:00 – 10:00 am

Main Campus Library Event:


- Scrabble Competition: 9:00 – 10:00 am
ALM Contest Criteria and Guidelines

1. Impromptu Speech (Gymnasium)


Guidelines:
- Participants will be given a random topic on the spot.
- Each participant will have 3 minutes to prepare and 2-3 minutes to deliver their
speech.
- No reference materials or notes allowed during the speech.

Criteria:
- Content and Coherence: 40%
- Delivery and Confidence: 30%
- Voice Modulation and Clarity: 20%
- Time Management: 10%

2. Vocal Solo (Gymnasium)


Guidelines:
- Participants can choose their song but must inform the organizers beforehand.
- The performance should not exceed 5 minutes.
- Filipino songs are only allowed, but lyrics should be appropriate for all audiences.

Criteria:
- Vocal Quality and Technique: 40%
- Stage Presence and Expression: 30%
- Song Interpretation: 20%
- Overall Impact: 10%

3. Vocal Duet (Gymnasium)


Guidelines:
- Both singers must equally contribute to the performance.
- Duet performances should not exceed 5 minutes.
- Song choice should be submitted prior to the event.
- Filipino songs are only allowed, but lyrics should be appropriate for all audiences.

Criteria:
- Harmony and Blending: 40%
- Vocal Quality: 30%
- Stage Presence and Coordination: 20%
- Overall Impact: 10%

4. Dance Sports (Gymnasium)


Guidelines:
- Pairs are required to perform any ballroom dance style (e.g., Waltz, Cha-Cha).
- The performance should last 3-5 minutes.
- Costumes should be appropriate for the theme and competition.

Criteria:
- Choreography and Creativity: 40%
- Synchronization and Coordination: 30%
- Expression and Stage Presence: 20%
- Costume and Presentation: 10%

5. Hiphop Dance (Gymnasium)


Guidelines:
- Teams can consist of 8-10 members.
- Performances should be between 3-6 minutes.
- Props and costumes are allowed but should not hinder movement.

Criteria:
- Choreography and Creativity: 40%
- Synchronization: 30%
- Energy and Stage Presence: 20%
- Costume and Visual Impact: 10%

6. Modern Dance (Gymnasium)


Guidelines:
- Teams can consist of 6-10 members.
- Performances should not exceed 5 minutes.
- Any modern dance style is accepted.

Criteria:
- Choreography and Technique: 40%
- Expression and Interpretation: 30%
- Synchronization: 20%
- Costume and Presentation: 10%
7. Cheer Dance (Gymnasium)
Guidelines:
- Teams can consist of 15-20 members.
- Performances should not exceed 7 minutes.
- The routine should include stunts, cheers, and choreography.

Criteria:
- Choreography and Creativity: 35%
- Synchronization: 25%
- Energy and Enthusiasm: 20%
- Difficulty of Stunts: 10%
- Costume and Props: 10%

8. Extemporaneous Speech (Room M109)


Guidelines:
- Participants will be given a topic 5 minutes before their speech.
- The speech should last 2-3 minutes.
- No prepared notes are allowed during the speech.

Criteria:
- Content and Relevance to the Topic: 40%
- Delivery and Confidence: 30%
- Voice Modulation and Pronunciation: 20%
- Time Management: 10%

9. Declamation (Room M109)


Guidelines:
- Participants must choose a pre-existing speech or piece of declamation.
- The performance should not exceed 5 minutes.
- Emphasis should be placed on expression and emotion.

Criteria:
- Interpretation and Expression: 40%
- Memorization and Accuracy: 30%
- Stage Presence and Confidence: 20%
- Time Management: 10%
10. Chess Tournament (Public Library)
Guidelines:
- The tournament will follow a single-elimination format.
- Time control: 20 minutes per player, with no increment.
- Standard chess rules apply.
- Round- robing

Criteria:
Checkmate or Draw Outcome: 100%

11. Scrabble Competition (Main Campus Library)


Guidelines:
- Standard Scrabble rules apply.
- Time control: 20 minutes per player.
- The tournament will be based on point accumulation.

Criteria:
- Score Board Basis: 100%
