BEFORE YOU START

MATERIALS

To start crocheting, you'll need yarn and a crochet hook. Yarn comes in various weights
and fibers, while hooks come in different sizes indicated by letters or millimeters.

BASIC STITCHES

Learn fundamental stitches like chain (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), and
slip stitch (sl st). These stitches form the foundation for more complex patterns.

TENSION

Pay attention to your tension - the tightness of your stitches. Consistent tension ensures
uniformity in your work.

READING PATTERNS

Crochet patterns use abbreviations and symbols to represent stitches and techniques.
Familiarize yourself with common abbreviations like "ch" for chain and "sc" for single

 MATERIALS & TOOLS

Super Bulky Yarn (120m/100gr) (E.g: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Himalaya Velvet, ...)
4mm crochet hook.
7mm toy safety eyes.
Needle, fiberfill, stitch marker, scissors.

TIPS

Pay attention to your tension to maintain consistent stitch size throughout your project.
Avoid gripping your hook and yarn too tightly to prevent hand fatigue and tension issues.
Count your stitches regularly to avoid mistakes and ensure your project stays on track.
Use stitch markers or a contrasting piece of yarn to mark the beginning of each row,
especially in projects with repetitive patterns.
Use invisible decrease stitches to have better results.
Take the time to read through patterns thoroughly before starting to avoid confusion and
mistakes later on.
If you make a mistake, don't hesitate to "frog" (rip out) your stitches and start over. It's a
natural part of the learning process.

MR - magic ring

st(s) - stitch(es)

ch - chain stitch

slst - slip stitch

sc - single crochet stitch

hdc - half double crochet stitch

dc - double crochet stitch

inc - increase (2 single crochet sts into the same stitch)

dec - decrease (crochet together 2 single crochet sts with 1 st)

bobble stitch - 4 double crochet in the same stitch, yarn over, pull
bo-4dc -
through all the loops on the hook
