What is leap ?

'Leap' is a smart and simplified two-in-one remote which can be used to operate both
Set-top box and TV simultaneously. It is an ergonomically designed remote loaded with
less buttons and more features.

Why is leap ?

There happens to be a huge gap between what the present day set-top box remotes look
like and what they should have ideally looked like. With complicated interfaces, complex
task flows and ergonomic inefficiencies, the present day set-top box remotes are a big
NO. Hence the present day set-top box remote needs to be redesigned inorder to catch
up with modern day technical and technological advancements.

Smart multi-functional joystick

The main joystick can be used to 'navigate and

select' when in normal mode.

The recording related symbols light up as soon

as the recording button is pressed. This also
changes the functions of joystick from 'navigate
and select' to 'Play-pause, forward, backward normal mode Recording mode
and save'. [Navigate and select] [Play- Pause, Forward,
Backward]

Two way function-alternating button

The 'av' command serves no purpose while

operating set-top box. Similarly the 'language'
command serves no purpose while operating
tv.

The two way function-alternating button helps

simplify the interface reducing the cognitive Language Av
load. The 'av' command lightens up when the
remote is in 'tv mode'. Whereas it changes to
'language' command when we use the toggle
button to put the remote into 'stb mode'.

FINAL CONCEPT

Design language

The entire experience incorporates various elements from the

yacht, from the steering wheel to the deck flooring. Through our
approach we have tired to break the conventions regarding
perfume bottles and its packaging and create a concept which
would be unique and one of a kind. The brand derives heavy
influence from the Greek mythology as one can find various
existing design elements and names belonging to various figures
and patterns from the Greek mythology. The steering wheel gives
the user a sense of power and control. The entire box has a matte
white finish with intricate details and branding embossed in sterling
silver. The perfume bottle sitting on the drawer, elegantly decked
with teak wood, presents itself to the user royally.
