c. Discuss the meaning of inviolability of human life.
INTRODUCTION
The phrase sanctity of life refers to the idea that human life is sacred and
holy, argued mainly by the pro-life side in political and moral debates over such
controversial issues as abortion, contraception, euthanasia, embryonic, stem-
cell research and the right to die.
Euthanasia comes from Greek word “thanatus” which means “easy and
happy death “popularly known as mercy killing, painless peaceful death. It is
the intention taking one’s life if an ailing person due to so many reasons that
include incurability of illness, unbearable intensity of physical or emotional pain
and unbearable financial burden arising from illness and burden in hospital bills.

Non voluntary Euthanasia- indicates the measure of causing the death of the
client who is unable to express his will and make his intention
known as in unconscious or comatose state. The decision to
end the patient’s life is made earlier by the watcher of the
patients, health care team or the society.
ASSISTED SUICIDE- this is usually referring to cases where the persons who are
going to die need, help to kill herself and ask for it,
We are Stewards NOT owner of life who must respect and care for our own
lives and the lives of others. Life must be protected with
the utmost care from the moment of conception.
