United Nations Day Celebration 2024 with the theme


“One Common Future, One Common Agenda”
________________________________________________________
The United Nations in the Philippines kicks off a robust
and diverse agenda of events as part of the 2024 UN
Month. From regional conferences, forums, and
observance of international days, the UN Team will
gather national and local players, academe, the private
sector, and financial institutions to strategize on a wide
range of development issues. This year’s theme, “One
Common Future, One Common Agenda,” highlights the
continued importance of multilateralism and the need
for collaboration and cooperation among all sectors of
society in shaping a better and sustainable future for all.

GRADE 11 AND GRADE 12


1. Only 3 members are allowed to join the said event.
2. Participants are expected in the venue 15 minutes before the program starts.
3. Participants who will not come on time will automatically be disqualified.
(Grade 12 will start at 8:00 am-11:00 am in the morning while Grade 11 will start at
12:00 nn-3:00 pm in the afternoon at SHS library.
4. The painting must be related to the theme of the celebration.
5. Participants should bring their own materials.

6. The participants will be given a maximum of 3 hours to finish their work.
7. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
8. The winning participants will receive a certificate of recognition.
9. The criteria are the following:

QUIZ BEE

OBJECTIVE
The aim of the activity is to assess the students’ knowledge about the United Nations as well as
with relation to the current events. It also aims to promote the importance of knowing the
concepts related to the United Nations as we share with the organization in promoting
Sustainable Development Goals.

MECHANICS FOR THE EVENT


A. Choosing of Participants
To ensure fairness, each student will answer a 20-item Quiz wherein the students who
will get the highest score in each section will advance to the elimination round.
To avoid the disruption of classes, this will be done during the UCSP period of each
section in the Senior High School Department.
B. Elimination Round
After picking the students who got the highest scores for each section, they will advance
to this portion of the quiz bee. They will again answer another 20-item quiz and those
20 students who will get the highest scores will advance to the Quiz Bee proper.
In addition to that, the students will gather at the library in the prescribed time to
answer the quiz. Results will be announced through the Facebook page of the Senior
High School Department.
C. Quiz Bee Proper
After choosing the 20 students who got the high scores in the Elimination Round will
advance to this portion of the event. Each round consists of:
● 5 questions for the Easy Round
● 5 questions for the Average Round
● 3 questions for the Difficult Round and
● 2 questions for the Clincher Round
In the event that the organizers ran out of questions and there’s a tie that needs to be
broken, the organizers must prepare another 5 questions in order to proclaim a
winner. Winners consist of:
● 1st Place
● 2nd Place
● 3rd Place
To show appreciation, each student who participated in the Quiz bee proper will receive
certificates and the winners will be acknowledged during the UN event on October 24.

GRADE 11
1. 2 pairs representing HUMSS and STEM.
2. 1 pair representing ABM, HE, and ICT.
3. Introduction of countries they represent in each strand
4. There will be a talent portion in each representative showcasing their talents.
5. They must wear national costume according to their country.
6. Lastly, they need to answer the questions given by the judges.

GRADE 12
1. 1 pair representing ABM, HUMSS, ICT, HE, and STEM.
2. Introduction of countries they represent in each strand
3. There will be a talent portion in each representative showcasing their talents.
4. They must wear national costume according to their country.

5. Lastly, they need to answer the questions given by the judges.
