Calculations and Verification of Impedance and Current of


RL, RC and RLC series circuits
1. Aim: To Calculations and Verification the impedance of the given RL, RC and RLC
circuits.

2. Apparatus Required:

4. PROCEDURE:
1. Connect the circuit as per circuit diagram.
2. The voltmeter is connected in parallel connection across input source and
ammeter series with circuit.
3. Note down the voltage and current values in voltmeter and ammeter.
4. Repeated the experiment with Different values of resistant, inductance and
capacitance.
5. Find out Impedance value of each circuit theoretically as well as practically.
6. Compare theoretical values with practical values.

7. PRECAUTIONS:
1) All the connection should be tight.
2) Ammeter is always connected in series in the circuit while voltmeter is parallel to
the source.
3) The electrical current should not flow the circuit for long time, otherwise its
temperature will increase and the result will be affected.
4) It should be care that the values of the components of the circuit is does not exceed
to their ratings (maximum value).
5) Before the circuit connection it should be check out working condition of all the
Component.
