Preparation and Settling In

Welcome: Greet students warmly and express your excitement for the lesson.

Warm-up Activity: Play a "Get to Know You" game where students share something they appreciate
about themselves, others, or their class community.

Peace Education Learning Session

Brainstorming: Lead a discussion about the word "respect." Ask students what it means to respect
themselves, others, and the world around them. Record their ideas on the chart paper.

Introducing Peace Concepts: Define "positive peace" as the absence of violence and the presence of
justice, cooperation, and harmony. Define "negative peace" as simply the absence of war or conflict. Use
simple and age-appropriate examples to illustrate both concepts.

Comparing and Contrasting: Show images/videos representing positive and negative peace. Encourage
students to discuss the differences and identify key characteristics of each type of peace.

Progress Monitoring through Reflection and Sharing

Personal Action Brainstorming: Ask students to brainstorm individual actions they can take to promote
respect and peace in their daily lives (e.g., using kind words, listening actively, helping others, resolving
conflicts peacefully).

Collective Action Brainstorming: Discuss ways to promote peace and respect within the classroom and
school community. Encourage students to come up with concrete ideas they can implement together (e.g.,
creating a "Friendship Wall," organizing a peace-themed activity, starting a peer mediation program).

Wrap Up
Review and Sharing: Briefly review the key concepts of respect, positive and negative peace. Allow
students to share their reflections and ideas from the worksheet or brainstorming sessions.

Closing Song: peace “Children of yesterdays dream”
