    Mastermind Highlights

    Last week was "Mastermind Week" and, lifestyle entrepreneurs who are tired of the
    same ol guru shell game, came to spend a few days in our brand new REWIND HQ!

    Hot seats. Workshops. And even some sweet 80s tunes.. it was a week they'll never
    forget.

    There were waaay too many highlights and breakthroughs during these three days to
    list 'em all here.. so I'll showcase one this morning.
    The VSL

    A few attendees still had old-school "video sales letters" on their site.

    You know the one I'm talking about, don't you?

    The powerpoint typed letter started off with something like "If you'd like to X.. then you
    must watch this important video until the end".

    Does it still work?

    Rarely.

    It used to work 8 years ago when it was new. And different.

    When people hadn't seen it before.

    Now - the market has become more sophisticated.

    The minute they see that video intro, three seconds later they're gone.

    They've been down that road too many times before.

    Plus, back then, most people used laptops and desktops to go online.

    Today? It's all about the MOBILE experience.

    And they're not sitting through your 45-minute "video sales letter".

    It's time to market in TODAY'S environment.

    The Shift

    Everything now is about transparency.

    REAL video with REAL people.

    Stop trying to hide behind powerpoint.

    No more using headlines that simply sound cheesy today.


    Does it work for some people? Yes. But are those the type of people you want as
    customers?

    Do you really want to use manipulation to get people to buy your products?

    Because when you do - you don't get the right people.

    They refund. They cancel. They chargeback. And they leave you for the next person
    who makes an even bigger promise.
