Scene 1: In the Shop

(C1 and C2 enter the shop with excitement.)

C1: Wow, look at all these items! I need a bag, a bottle, and a pen.

C2: I’ll get a kit and a bottle.

S1: (to C1) Great choice! The bag costs 750 rupees, the bottle is 400 rupees, the pen is 20 rupees.

S2: (to C2) And the kit is 55 rupees, and the bottle is 400 rupees again.

C1: How much will that be without tax or discount?

S1: Let’s calculate that.

Scene 2: The Calculation

(S1 and S2 hand over the items and their prices to Calc.)

S1: Calc, here’s the list: bag = 750, bottle = 400, pen = 20.

S2: And for Customer 2: kit = 55, bottle = 400.

Calc: (excitedly) Alright, I’ll do the magic! Let’s add the prices first.

Calc: (calculating) For C1: 750 (bag) + 400 (bottle) + 20 (pen) = 1170 rupees.

Calc: For C2: 55 (kit) + 400 (bottle) = 455 rupees.

C1: That sounds like a lot of rupees!

S1: Don't worry, we have discounts and tax to handle.

S2: Yes, the bag has a special discount of 10% off!

Calc: (calculating) For the bag: 10% of 750 rupees is 75 rupees.

Calc: So, the new price of the bag is 750 - 75 = 675 rupees!

C1: That’s awesome! What about the tax?

S1: Let’s add 8% tax on each item.

Calc: (calculating) Tax for C1:

 Bag: 8% of 675 = 54 rupees

 Bottle: 8% of 400 = 32 rupees

 Pen: 8% of 20 = 1.60 rupees

Calc: So, the total tax for C1 is 54 + 32 + 1.60 = 87.60 rupees.

Calc: For C2:

 Kit: 8% of 55 = 4.40 rupees

 Bottle: 8% of 400 = 32 rupees

Calc: So, the total tax for C2 is 4.40 + 32 = 36.40 rupees.

S1: Great! Let’s add the tax to the original prices.

Calc: For C1:

 Total price before tax: 1170

 Total tax: 87.60

 Final price: 1170 + 87.60 = 1257.60 rupees

Calc: For C2:

 Total price before tax: 455

 Total tax: 36.40

 Final price: 455 + 36.40 = 491.40 rupees

C1: Wow, it’s more than I expected!

C2: I’m glad I don’t have to do the math myself.

Calc: (winks) That’s my job!

S1: So, the total for Customer 1 is 1257.60 rupees.

S2: And for Customer 2, it’s 491.40 rupees.

C1: Thanks, Calc! You’ve saved us from math madness.

C2: And thanks to you both, shopkeepers!

Scene 3: The Customers Leave Happy

(C1 and C2 pay their amounts and leave the shop with their items, happily chatting.)

S1: (to S2) That was fun!

S2: (smiling) Absolutely. Time for a coffee break!

Calc: (calling out) Remember to use me for your next math adventure!
