The business plan for me is a project that takes time and effort to make. When we were looking for a
business that all of us were really into, our leader suggested thinking of a business that had a connection
and something that we can all relate to. Hence, we chose the studyhub. Finding a studyhub in Davao was
relatively easy, but getting the owner's consent for an interview proved to be very challenging. We were
rejected by our first choice, which was a surprise for all of us because we thought that we could finish the
project faster. This experience made me realize that we should have considered alternative options
instead of focusing on just one. We were unprepared for that situation, which led to a difficult predicament
as the day of the presentation was just two days away.
In a state of urgency, we immediately contacted the studyhubs we knew and sent them letters requesting
an interview, hoping to get at least one reply within a day. I regret that I didn't think of any alternative
routes in case we didn't get an approval. Thankfully, the next day we got an approval, and we worked
overnight to complete our business plan and create a video advertisement for the business.
Doing the business plan requires not only being active but also being proactive to shape a successful and
fruitful future for the proposed business. The initial rejection taught me about adaptability, emphasizing
that even the best-laid plans can encounter unexpected obstacles.
This experience highlighted the importance of having contingency plans. In business, as in life, things
rarely go exactly as expected, and being prepared for different scenarios is crucial. I learned that
resilience and quick thinking are essential traits for overcoming setbacks. This challenge also
underscored the value of teamwork. Despite the initial setback, our team pulled together, communicated
effectively, and worked diligently to meet our deadline. It was a testament to our collective determination
and resourcefulness.
In conclusion, this project was more than just an academic exercise; it was a real-world lesson in
business management and personal growth. The challenges we faced and overcame have better
prepared us for future endeavors, it instilled a sense of confidence and capability in me. Moving forward, I
will always remember the importance of flexibility, preparedness, and teamwork in achieving success.
