    Engine Oil Pressure Low - Warning
    Overview

    CODE REASON EFFECT

    Fault Code: 143 Engine Oil Pressure Low - Warning. Engine Progressive power derate
    PID: P100 oil pressure signal indicates engine oil increasing in severity from
    SPN: 100 pressure is below the engine protection time of alert.
    FMI: 1/18 warning limit.
    LAMP: Amber
    SRT:

    Engine Oil Pressure

    Circuit Description

    The engine oil pressure and engine temperature sensors are used by the electronic control
    module (ECM) to monitor the lubricating oil pressure. The ECM monitors the voltage on the signal
    pin and converts this to a pressure value. The oil pressure value is used by the ECM for the
    engine protection system.

    Component Location

    The engine oil pressure and engine temperature sensors are located on the cylinder block to the
    left of the fuel filter, behind the air compressor. See Section E for a detailed component location
    view.
