A. PREPARATION
- Prayer (PRAYER)
Before we start, please all stand and let us pray.
Please be seated.
- Checking of attendance
Call the secretary of the class for the checking of
attendance.
B. REVIEW
Last meeting we have discussed about the
importance of doing different type of exercises.
Give at least one example of exercise. Possible Answers: Running, walking, bending,
stretching, sit-up etc.,

As we start our new lesson. I want you to group
yourself into 4 groups.

D. LESSON PROPER
Presentation of the Learning Objectives:
a. describe nature of Cheerdance;
b. recognize the basic hand movements and
positions used in Cheerdance;
c. manifest self-discipline and precision in doing
the hand movement and position in Cheerdance;
d. perform the basic hand movements and positions
in Cheerdance.
Cheerdance
Is a coined from the words Cheer and Dance,
it’s originated in the United States.
What are the Hand movement and Position in
Cheerdance?
Beginning Stance
Feet together, hands down by the side in blades.
Cheer Stance
Feet more than shoulder width apart, hands down
by the side in blades
Clasp
Hands clasped, at the chin, elbows in.
Clap
Hands in blades, at the chin, elbows in.
High V
Arms extended up forming a “V”, relax the
shoulders
Low V
Arms extended down forming a “V”
Touchdown
Arms extended straight and parallel to each other,
fist facing in.
Low Touchdown
Arms extended straight down and parallel to each
other, fist facing in.
L Motion
One arm extended to the side with other arm
extended in a punch motion, (Left L shown)
T Motion
Both arms extended straight out to the side and
parallel to the ground, relax the shoulders.
Half T
Both arms parallel to the ground and bent at the
elbows, fits into shoulders.
E. Generalization
Cheerdance and cheerleading is not about
yelling or cheering, it’s also about the
complicated movements which start in basic
motions and skills.

V. Assignment
- Research and do an advance study about locomotor and non-locomotor movement?
