CS409P –Introduction to Database Administration (Practical)

The purpose of this assignment is to give you hands-on practice. It is expected that students
will solve the assignment themselves. The following rules will apply during the evaluation
of the assignment.

The objectives of this assignment are to,
 Give the idea of entities, attributes, and relationship between the entities in the system.
 Give the idea of Keys.
 Give the idea of Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD).

 Student will be able to draw an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD).

An entity relationship diagram is given below.

Consider this diagram and perform the following task:

Task :
 Write answers of the questions, given in the first column, in the corresponding
second column. No need to include any extra or irrelevant information in the answer
otherwise marks will be deducted.

Question Answer
How many entities are there in the ERD?
Write the primary key of Loan.
Write the foreign key of Loan.
Write the name of weak entity (only one).
Write the names of 2 entities associated with one-to-
one relationship.
What is the relationship type between Bank and
Customer?
