UpGrade 4 - UNIT 7: DO I HAVE TO WAIT HERE?
Lesson 1: Period 38
Duration (period): 40 minutes
I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Knowledge:
Students are going to learn about:
- Daily activities at school and at home
- Questions and answers about the enforcement with “have to”
- The using of “have to” and “has to” with different subjects.
2. Competences:
- Vocabulary: listen to my teacher, revise for a test, get up early, make my bed, do the
washing up, water the plants, wear school uniform, go shopping.
- Structures:
* Present with “have to”
- I/ You/ We/ They have to go shopping.
- She/ He/ It has to go shopping.
* Past with “had to”
- I/ You/ We/ They/ He/ She/ It had to go shopping.
3. Qualities:
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Remember and understand how to use “have to” with different subjects and tenses.
- Apply the learnt knowledge to finish tasks and task 2 in student book Upgrade 4.
II. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS:
- For Teacher: PP, flashcards, handout
- For students: student book, workbook.
III. LESSON PROCEDURE:
Activity 1: Warm up (5 minutes)
