Job Title: Manager – H & S Department: Safety
Job Purpose
(why job exists / what it must achieve)
• To establish, develop & maintain safety & occupational health systems,
procedures & practices in accordance with applicable legal requirements and
Company EHS Policies & Goals in the interest of prevention of EHS incidents.
Role and Responsibilities
Strategic:
Operational:
• Implementation of EHS systems procedures and practices as per ISO 9001, ISO
45001 and ISO 14001 & Responsible Care Management System.
• To ensure compliance of legal and other requirements through Compliance
Management System as well as assessment & evaluation procedures
• To develop and implement various EHS Risk Assessment Methodologies and Tools
suitable for different types of activities, operations, processes, products &
services
• Implementation of PSM system and check effectiveness of the same
• Meticulous implementation of EHS Documentation and Records.
• Implementation of EHS consultation, communication, participation and
motivation arrangement & practices.
• Development of training modules, impact EHS Trainings as per approved training
matrix, and evaluate EHS competence.
• Documentation of Onsite emergency plan, conduct mock drills, update the plan
• EHS operational control procedures, like SOPs, Work Permit System, Contractor
Control, Construction EHS Practices, Work instructions, EHS displays, colours &
symbols, Incident investigation & CAPA tracking implementation etc.
• Perform activities relating to compliance of REACH, Tfs, Customer Audits,
(M)SDS, Hazop & QRA compliance, MOC, PSSR tracking.
• Evaluate the EHS legal Compliance and suggest action to ensure compliance.
Update the department about the new amendments with the action plan.

Financial:
• Plan EHS Budget for the above mentioned site activities such as safety &
occupational health centre and capital investments for EHS projects in
coordination with site engineering
People Related
• Liaison with the local statutory authorities such as DISH & CCOE.
• Coordinate and lead the team for conducting audits, Inspection and risk
assessment studies such as HAZOP, work place risk assessments.
• Coordinating with workplace monitoring and documentation of the reports to
ensure legal EHS compliance.
• Coordinate activities with the Site Occupational Health Centre/ Factory Medical
Officer, medical Assistant for conducting and documenting medical examination,
daily operation of medical centre, maintenance of antidote, ambulance van.
• Identification of Manpower required and deploy them accordingly.
• PSM & EHS Analysis tools / RA Tools / General SAP working knowledge
Education & Experience
Essential: BE/BTECH (Chemistry), or MSc (Chem or Env) & Diploma in Industrial
Education Safety,
Preferred: Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS)
Essential: 08 / 14 yrs. in EHS
