Problem Statement : Develop software for Hydraulic Controller ECU operating a backhoe. ECU contained Rexroth BODAS RC 40
Controller. Model Based Software Development was desired, with software re-usability and portability as added advantage.
StuffBits Solution : After performing a joint analysis and study of the given system requirements with the customer’s team, we
identified the following approach for development:
Creating High Level Software Architecture.
Development and use of the custom-built Simulink library blocks to create reusable software blocks.
Creation of unit level Test cases and Performing MIL in MATLAB.
Configuration of IO, J1939 in base project using BODAS tools.
Integrating DTCs/DIDs, CAN Messages.
Performing HW testing on bench.
StuffBits Impact :
The MBD approach helped to develop the application software system that is easily configurable and maintainable to support
future changes.
The use of scripts reduced the development time significantly and also the manual errors intervention during the data dictionary
creation.
Adapting an Agile Scrum methodology helped to keep the project on track.

Problem Statement : Indian MSME’s face several challenges when launching an industrial electronics product in market.
1. Reliable and robust hardware and firmware design.
2. Competitive pricing especially with imports of similar products from China.
3. Compliance to quality when manufacturing at scale.
StuffBits Solution : We have taken several steps as listed below to mitigate above issues.
1. Detailed requirement gathering to reduce design rework and thereby reduce design costs.
2. Repetitive use of proven hardware solutions and firmware snippets to ensure electronics hardware and firmware is robust.
3. Smart inventory management of components gives an edge in final cost price of product.
4. EMS services to give complete boxed delivery of the product (Tested/Quality controlled).
Achievements : First product – A digital manometer designed and manufactured for our client by Stuffbits in 2019, with a
warranty of 1 year is still running flawlessly at customer factory.
Datalogger – our first IOT product, has been deployed in field 2 years ago – in a harsh stone crusher environment - and is
successfully sending data to cloud since then.
