RATIONALE “Education For All” is the primary goal of Philippine education

(includes legal basis) regardless of the “differences”. The Philippine Education For All
(EFA) 2015 is a vision and a holistic program of reforms that aims at

philosophy of teaching that is based on the premise that students
learn best when their teachers accommodate the differences in
their readiness levels, interest, and learning profiles.
A chief objective of differentiated instruction is to take full
advantage of every student’s ability to learn (Subban, 2006). Using
differentiated instruction inside the classroom recognizes the
diversity of the learner, and it affirms that each learner has his or
her own style of learning inside the classroom
Teaching this way gives students choice and flexibility in how
they learn, and helps teachers personalize learning. Since no two
learners are the same, teachers must have strategies to adapt
learning environments, content, products and processes to reach all
students.

The participants should be able to:

OBJECTIVES:
(intended for the 1. Identify and explain the key principles of differentiated
Participants) instruction
2. Understand basic principles of differentiating content, process,
and product in an academically diverse classroom
3. Be able to implement one or more instructional strategies that
support differentiation

TRAINING METHODOLOGY:
(4As,Lecturette, Face to Face Seminar
andragogic approach) Lecturette

EXPECTED OUTPUT OF THE 1. Successful presentation of the topic.

TRAINING: 2. Active participation during the LAC Session to realize the
training’s objectives.
3. Enlighten teacher’s perspective about differentiated teaching
strategies.
4. Show full support and cooperation towards the success of the
LAC Session.
