Objective:
The objective of this project is to inspire students to develop innovative solutions to address
various challenges through creativity, scientific inquiry, and technological innovation.
Project Prompt:
Your task is to design and create a model, prototype, or innovative solution and make a report
file that addresses a specific aspect of climate change. Your project should demonstrate
creativity, scientific understanding, cost effectiveness, feasible and should have future
perspective.
Note: - The idea of model or design of the prototype you make should be unique,
innovative, and not copied. If you are copying any content, picture then provide proper
references.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
• It is a group/individual activity. It’s mandatory for all students to choose any one
topic. Each group should have maximum 3 members. Select a Team leader.
• Discuss topics /project ideas with the group.
Note: -You cannot create a meeting and discuss on MS teams. You can use other
platforms for that. If you are doing the project in a group, please share the group
members name along with the topic to your respective HRT’s.
• Choose any one topic which falls within the above given focal theme or any of the
above given sub themes.
• Do small activities or hands on activity on the topics provided to you and charts are
not required.
• The abstract should be written in 250-300 words. It should be related to the project,
or the activity undertaken by the student.
• Students to work on the project idea during the summer vacation. On reopening of the
school in the month of July, Students to discuss their ideas and its ideation with their
respective Science and Mathematics teacher along with their project reports
• Maintenance of Logbook to record the progress of the project is essential.
• The project should be completed during summer vacation and the preliminary round
will be in the first week of August.
• Stress should be on innovative (new/remodelling of existing products) and cost-
effective ideas as good projects are selected for participation in National &
International fairs & competitions.
• Project report should strictly follow the below given structure.
The written report is a summary of everything that you did to investigate your topic. The written
report provides others with vital information on what your project is about as well as its effect
on your understanding of the topic. Usually, the written report is 5-30 pages in length. All
information must be included in the written report. This report provides you with the
opportunity to think about all the aspects of your project and share your ideas with others.
Reports should be neatly bounded in an attractive binder. It should be typewritten.
• Typed, doubled spaced. One-inch margins, and 12 pt Times New Roman Font
• Remember to put headings/titles on graphs/tables.
• All photographs must have captions explaining their significance.
• Before you hand in your report make sure to reread, revise, and rewrite.
• Recheck your calculations, spelling, and grammar.
●Title Page
The first page of the report should include the title of the project as well as the name and
grade of the student.
●Acknowledgement
Here is where you thank everyone who helped to make your project successful (including
Mom and Dad.) Everyone that you interviewed, including teachers, scientists, and other
experts in the field should be mentioned here.
●Abstract
The abstract should be written in 250-300 words. It should be related to the project, or the
activity undertaken by the student.
●Table of Contents
This page provides the reader with a list of the different parts of the project and the page
number on which each section can be found.
●Statement of Purpose
State the purpose of the project in the form of a question.
●Hypothesis
You must have a hypothesis before you complete the project. A hypothesis is an educated
guess about what you think will occur as a result from completing your experiment.
●Research
This is the part of the report that contains all the background information that you collected
about your topic. Any books or articles read from the internet/journal, authorities on the topic
that you talked to, or outside materials collected should be summarized in this section. This
section should be written in your own words and NOT copied from your resources.
●Materials/Work Plan
This is a list of all the materials and supplies used in the project. Quantities and amounts of
each should also be indicated.
●Methodology/procedure
You will list and describe the steps you took to complete the project. Usually this is listed in a
numbered sequence. This part shows the stages of the project so that another person can carry
out the experiment.
●References
Enlisted the details of all references which you have used for the project.
NOTE: -If you are having any queries regarding the project, you can post it on the MS
team General page of your respective classes.
